Can you verify these?

Hey there friends!
Here in Australia I had my first year of picking and hunting myself. I spent a lot of time in nature and learnt heaps - unfortunately I didn't pick any actives though! (Thanks to anyone who helped out with my noobish ID requests!)
Anyway I bit the bullet and bought some shrooms off a friend of a friend kind of guy. There is 10 grams of dried mushrooms in the bag he gave me. He has told me they are Psyocibin Cubensis. I'll attach some photos - is there any way you could help me verify that they are indeed cubes? Also, in regards to doseage - I was thinking 2g would be a nice mid level 2 trip? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

2 grams is a perfectly smooth dose...yes.
Anyways, the best advice I can give you is look for bluing. They don't look like cubensis...but I could be wrong. If you spot some really dark blue (almost black) then you are in business.

^^^ These are dried Cubes. I have seen darker bluing than this though. But it gives you an idea.
Also....these were clearly homegrown. Google "dried cubensis" and you will get a more varied look at what you should be seeing.

Haha shit very different! Okay they won't bruise now that they're dried though will they? I will open them up and have a better inspection.

UPDATE: I took the mushrooms. Had a little chat with the guy I bought them off first.
Started off with 2grams, it got me to an 'I'm not sober' level 1 trip but nothing more. Had another half gram and unfortunately was about the same. Little bit of a let down that my friends and I didn't get to experience a solid mushroom trip this time - but they were definitely psychoactive (even if they were very weak) and it was certainly a nice time!
Thanks for your inputs though guys. I appreciate the time everyone in this community puts in to helping others out. Peace!

I wouldn't eat anymore until you get a solid i.d. If you ate 2 grams and didn't feel anything than slightly off baseline, then you may have felt a placebo effect.
Now that you have taken some out of their shiny, photo-distorting bag, you may want to post some better pictures. Spread some out onto a white piece of paper and try to take some clear, non-blurry hi-res photos. It is important to show the gills as well as the stems. The mushroom should show some bluing if they're magic.
They are definitely not psylocybe cubensis. Since you are in Australia, you might have been sold some native psylocybe subaeruginosa, or "subs" for short. But 2 grams of these mushrooms will definitely take you beyond just feeling off baseline.
BTW, when you're taking your mushrooms don't try to re-up during your trip unless you take double what you think you need. Many people's bodies build an immediate tolerance to psylocybin. Eating a half gram after your half way into a trip is just a waste of a half gram of mushrooms.

once you've got better pics maybe post a link to this thread in one of the regional threads for your part of the world.
with that many people posting in those threads that were finding and drying subs and other native actives, someone should be better able to compare pics of their dried fungi to yours.
just a thought.

Thanks for the redose tip! I actually did contemplate that it could have been totally placebo. Theyre all gone so I cant resnap photos. It might be worth mentioning theres a good chance theyre not from Australia at all as the fellow buys them online.
You guys are awesome. Have a great day.
