Those are not nootropics.

Phenibut is a very bad one to use daily, I use phenibut about twice a week.
When I take nootropics my prefered stack is noopept and alpha GPC Choline or phenylpiracetam and Citicoline.

Does Sam-e work well? Worth buying it? I feel like I need to go back on anti-depressants but I don't want to. I'd rather take something more natural ish. Combined with turmeric think it's worth it? I'm curious and hopeful

SAM-e definitely increased my focus and natural reward. I feel like I am more able to "let things go" easily. The combination of SAM-e and Turmeric is definitely worth trying before considering antidepressants. Consider 5-HTP at night as well.

Would you say the effects of turmeric are noticable and would you suspect that for you that they are beyond "placebo"? Also do you take it with black pepper?

This is what I was about to take. Any pointers would be appreciated

What is with all this nootropic shit popping up everywhere recently? Because it kinda sounds almost the same as the health food crazes (Eat this grain. Forget that grain eat this vegetable. Forget both of those, drink this smoothie. Hey we've found a new grain better than everything else before it, get your hands on it now!") that sweep the country/world for a few weeks before it's dethroned by something else.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

From what Ive been able to gleam its bullshit and the effects are so subtle its indistinguishable from placebo. Even if it does work, the effects are marginal enough that the well documented side effects arent really worth it. Most of them cause slurring from prolonged use. Total waste of money. You want focus hit the gym and meditate.

Not really. All diets really center around avoiding processed food and refined grains, sugars, etc. and shooting for more quality meats. Basically whole grains, nuts, beans, organic meats, fruits, vegatables. Other than that, its really just cutting one or two groups out. Most diets or diet philosophies are sort of culty. Idk what caused it to get like this. They are basically rearrangements of the same basic principles

Not really. And I am hearing you out but this is what BC would say. The assumption is that you ARE already doing meditation, yoga etc.
Its akin to saying "creatine is bullshit and does not work. You want to grow stronger? Lift heavy wieghts!" The assumption is that you use nootropics to make your already good habits enhanced. IMO nootropics enhance meditation, wakefulness and sociability noticably. Also, with the amount of alcohol and other drugs many of us do, wearing this metapohical "brain condom" to help reverse brain damage is a great idea
The issue is; wiegghtlifting supplements AND nootropics are marketed as if they are the defining factor in productivity. They don't say "this will increase mental capacity and gains by about 10-20% if taken consistently with a structured diet, training and lifestyle". The movie limitless probably has much to do with this "craze"

Not all at once but throughout the day. Sometimes it's a double cheeseburger instead of pizza.

I have know about the potent anti-inflammatory effects of turmeric for a while, but this thread has me interested to try a much stronger dose.
There's about 2mg of turmeric in the digestive enzymes I take a couple times a day, and I thought that was enough.
Phenibut sounds interesting too.
