NO YOU GUYS IT IS UNSAFE YOU CAN'T BE UNSAFE WE HAVE TO BE BUBBLE WRAPPED AND ONLY WORK & BUY SHIT NEVER DO ANYTHING COOL OR ELSE YOU DIE AND THAT IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!
OP, it's all about the money, aint a damn thing funny. The government never cared about your safety, only about making shit illegal so they can take your money.
Everytime the government choses safety over freedom, remember that it is not for you. They do not care. Every real safety issue (like in the workplace) had to come from outside pressure, because the government doesn't give a fuck if you fall into a meatgrinder, they only care if they can then fine the owner of the meatgrinder.
So that's one thing.
The second thing is: oh my god, who the fuck cares. Life is a flash in the pan followed by an eternity of death. You want to stretch out your meager years so bad that you sacrifice all quality or something? Damn man, grow a brain. Eat a mushroom. Eat 20 mushrooms. It's safe, don't worry.

The two things definitely are inconsistent, but IMO the better solution is to have no seatbelt-wearing law for adults. I'm all for requiring manufacturers to put them in though, and legal consequences for anyone who drives around with unseatbelted minors in their car.
A similarly stupid inconsistency here is that a moped, which you used to be able to ride without a license or insurance, now requires both of those things, but an "e-bike," which is pretty much exactly the same thing with an electric motor of similar power, doesn't require either. The rationale is some nonsense about emissions. I guess a 2-stroke moped can put out a lot of junk into the air, but IMO there is zero connection between that issue and the requirement for liability insurance.

you can put a motorcycle on the road for like 80 bucks where I live, use less gas would probably save you at least 120bucks alone just on insurance

I think most people missed the point of this thread, although some got it. I worded it weird in the OP, but I am asking why its illegal to drive a car without wearing a seat belt but its ok to ride a motorcycle when they dont require a seat belt or helmet?

Because it'd be a horrible move for any politician to sign or write a bill banning motorcycle and the governmeesnt makes money off of people having motorcycles.
The majority of things made illegal are illegal because of politics and money, not because the government cares about its citizens.

We could petition for a bill to make seat belts on motorcycles mandatory
