nucleotide or amino acid sequences for p cubensis tryptophan decarboxylase and after
    #22299423 - 09/27/15 04:33 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

I was under the impression at one point the dna or amino acids were sequenced.

Looking back to the page it refers to, however:

https://www.thevespiary.org/talk/index.php?topic=12665.15;wap2

Those are the same enzyme from different organisms.

I'm playing with this BLAST tool that's kind of neat:

http://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi?PROGRAM=blastp&PAGE_TYPE=BlastSearch&LINK_LOC=blasthome

If you want to try it out, put the first line of the amino acid sequence on the Vespiary page where it says on the BLAST page :

Enter accession number(s), gi(s), or FASTA sequence(s)

Make sure the database for non-redundant protein sequences is selected and just go to the bottom and hit "BLAST!"

I can't seem to *just* search on the organism though, which makes sense as they are likely using mapreduce or something to generate the results.
