I know this may be a long shot... but can any guitar players help me with this song? I know how to play all the parts (power chords parts & solo) except this part from 1:02 to 1:12. The part that you can really hear it is around 1:05 to 1:12. It doesn't sound like power chords at all. To me it sounds more like barre chords but possibly without the low strings (the 6th, 5th, and 4th strings), just the bottom 3 strings being played but I really don't know. I hear this a lot in punk songs & I doubt that it is power chords being played. The closest & only way that I can describe this sound is "gritty" almost. Please someone who plays guitar help me. I ****ing love this song.
Thank you for any help.

ok I just checked again and edited my answerr
to me it sounds like the root notes are a, g and d
you could try playing it this way, 12fret A power chord, then go down a whole step to the 10th fret G power chord then 5th fret D power chord

Hello there. Sorry, I forgot to reply yesterday. Just got on the geetar tonight though. I tried that & to be quite honest it doesn't really sound like the song. Still though, that is not to say that I don't greatly appreciate that you took your time & put effort into trying to help me out. I really, really do sincerely thank you for that.
Just to make sure, you mean:
12fret A power chord: 6th string 10th fret, 5th string 12th fret.
10th fret G power chord: 6th string 8th fret, 5th string 10th fret.
5th fret D power chord: 6th string 3rd fret, 5th string 5th fret.
?
If that's not what you mean please correct me. Either way, like I said I sincerely appreciate you helping me. Take care & have a great night. Bye for now.

Edit: doot doot. Sorry to break your heart, but they might just be bar chords after all with a third string added in. The gritty sound they use and their playstyle is the determining factor here. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guitar pt. 1
and/or (Some bands edit in a third guitar part for effect)
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guitar pt. 2

I played the song slowly in audacity and figured these edits were correct.
