The fist of koraks could take all the Masons, all their lodges, all their businesses and roll it in a ball, crush it in his fist and put a giant diamond at the top of the white house while saving a basket of kittens from "Al-qaeda".

the funny thing about your society is once you reach the highest degree you either pass the test and realize there is many more degrees or you fail and stay a 33rd degree always thinking your on top it never ends the ones who run your society just keep making more hoops for you to jump threw giving you the illusion of progress but you will never reach the most inner circle and your truly a puppet your society is a joke and your the punch line

My father was one.  I don't think it is what you think it is.  It is not an organization of occult whackjobs with secret knowledge.  They mostly just do good deeds in their community.  Charitable work and such.  They help each other and also help the poor.

My father is also a Mason.  Has a bunch of different halls stickers plastered all over his old construction helmets and lunch boxes.

He also likes to show off his Knights Templar robe from time to time.

Pretty sure he is also a member of the Shriners if I recall.

As he described it, in detail, to me -- ceremony for the sake of camaraderie rather than any magical implications.
Still very powerful rituals though, because it breeds a sense of friendship and working together with other members, which really facilitates social connections someone like him may not otherwise ever have an opportunity to make.

Greatest value he finds in the organization is that he can walk into any Mason's lodge anywhere in the country, and they will help him find work if he needs a new job.

He's in welding/industrial construction/boiler making...he has a few different tickets.
He could help me build or repair a house, but he knows little to nothing of the occult.

His view was that if I wanted to get into the trades, that I should sign up.
In terms of interest in occult knowledge, likely more productive to look elsewhere.

Free Masons are baby eating devil worshiping lizard people.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Warning don't be surprised when there isn't anything to read into. The masons are a pretty wholesome group. They have SOME effect in their local areas but definitely not an occult matter affecting the masses. There may be rituals and to be initiated they often have odd rituals. You might enjoy that  just don't expect a conspiracy o more power because that's a load of bull. My family has a rich history of freemasonry,my great great grandpa was a  33rd degree grandmaster in a northern California chapter. He basically just laughed off all the conspiracies. He wasn't a rich or powerful man, he himself said their ARE many secrets of freemasonry but nothing to the magnitude people think. He said most their secrets were not unlike many other secret societies, For example ritual, handshakes, code etc. So expect something like that

Masonry is closely tied to religion requiring a professed belief In a god or deity and the symbol of masonry with a g and square standing for God and geometry , the idea being that masons emulate the sacred geometry underlying creation. masonry may not itself be a religion but it's deeply enmeshed with religion.
