I used to have a friend that was so irrationally into the conspiracy stuff that every time he say a Freemason symbol, building, whatever, he'd get visibly anxious and want to get away ASAP. He'd literally have a miniature psychotic break every time; demanding me to drive away if he was in my car, lol.
He was black and also did it whenever there was a cop around, though, as far as I know, he never had anything on him.

secret societies are for lonely old men with nothing better to do pretend they have secrets but the top of any secret society knows the secret is there is no secret and they make you jump threw hoops for there own pleasure

To believe in the power and value of initiation, ritual, symbol And ceremony.
There really are secrets in the world and some secret societies do have some of them.

Two of those things are how many major religious theorists define religion. Are the Freemasons religious at all?
Are they religious like Buddhists or AA people?

While I laughed I think you're being ignorant.

I did a kung-fu class in the basement of an Odd Fellow temple and I saw this in a couple places:

Looks cool to me.

They make them. Fine by me though; they're mostly socially-aware people with a penchant for rituals as far as I can tell. Good luck; I hope it's what you expect it to be.

I am a Free Mason. Masonary is not a religion, infact we accept all religions. We don't even talk about religion during lodge for the most part

The funny thing about the masons is that there is no top to the pyramid globally.

If that was directed at me yes I'm sure.
I'm a 3rd degree so haven't had the later degrees.
If your referring to the York Rite or the Scottish Rite then yea religion does play a role. York Rite is Christian, still not it's own religion and Scottish Rite is religious but also not a religion. If your referring to Jesters and Shriners they also are not a religion so just like I said in the last post, it's not a religion.
Edit: That's all I'm going to say about it. I am not going to argue with someone about what they think Masons do. Your not a mason so don't tell me what we do during lodge. I'm not going to argue with you about something you read and think is real. Everyones response is the same just about, if you don't know you must not be at the top. My uncle who I am close with is a Jester and I know what goes on at the top, you don't even know what goes on during a lodge meeting. You only know what you read.
