I am becoming a Mason
    #22297417 - 09/27/15 08:48 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

After long consideration I have decided to become a mason. I am being sponsored by a blind man who is my wife's associate.

I am very interested in occult knowledge, esoteric rituals and secret ceremonies Etc and I have read that the Masons are one of the last remaining "mystery religions".

I want knowledge and initiation into a mystery path.

Does anyone think this is a bad idea? Any advice ? Warnings?

I am also going to resume going to church and taking communion etc and going to Buddhist dharma centre and meditating and going to shamanic ayahuasca ceremonies and doing yoga classes.

I see it all as related.

What do you guys think of or know about masons and masonry? Is it good or evil? Any masons here? Any tips on how I can rise through the degrees of masonry ?

My father was one.  I don't think it is what you think it is.  It is not an organization of occult whackjobs with secret knowledge.  They mostly just do good deeds in their community.  Charitable work and such.  They help each other and also help the poor.

I got nothing against the masons.

I hope you find happiness on your spiritual path.

My father is fairly high up in the Masons (he sits in one of those 3 big chairs in the picture above). What Zappa said is exactly my impression of what it is. They are always helping people out. They seem on average to be fairly affluent, or at the very least, have the ear of affluent people and use it to accomplish good.

My Uncle is a mason.

LOL, moonshoe thinks that being a mason is like joining a Christian version of the Kali cult from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

You may wish to check into the Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn, brother.

Masonry is so.. "Previous Aeon".

Thelemic rituals are tuned to the new Aeon of Horus. Even though Masonic ritual and belief reflects the same thing, Thelemites are more keen and tuned to the true balance that the.. "old gray world" Masons of their unrefined rituals just can't edge on right.

(Horus is the Crowned and Conquering Child of Esoteric Knowledge. Osiris, the "Dying God", what xTians call "Jesus", is of the old Aeon.)

I would Love To join the golden dawn too if I can find a local group and an in.

People may say masonry is mostly charity but the truth is it is and always has been thick with esoteric,
Occult symbolism and mystical initiation rituals and ancient sigils, ceremonies and arcane teachings.

Charity is part of it too but they do perform strange ceremonies sin elaborate temples shrouded in symbolism and ancient traditions. There are also strong religious tones.

When your sponsor takes you to meet other Masons, impress them by grabbing a random bystander, yell "KALI MA SHAKTI DE", and rip his still beating heart out of his chest.
