Can't Seem to Get Temperature Below 80

Fruiting stage - I hear the optimal temperature for the cakes to pin is 76-78 but I can't seem to get my tank lower then 80. With all that humidity in there, forget about it. Should this be a problem? Thanks. I'm in the finish line - nearly there. If I could take care of you guys for all this help you've been giving me along the way I would.

.... I noticed you used the word "tank". Am I better off not asking?

tanks are no good places to fruit shrooms. ultra high humidity is bad. you only need 90 % RH |-| this close to the surface. the rest of the air in the chamber can be at a much lower RH.

It's not really a tank - it's just a clear container with a lid on it sitting inside of another container with water and a heater in it.

Heater is set really low. I guess I could turn it off all together. See if that helps.

tub in tub incubators are old school, people have realized that jars colonize better at room temp with some ambient light, i havent fruited a cake in over a decade (monotubs!),but as i remember, cakes should go in a single tub with pearlite in the bottom and lots of small holes drilled in the tub, in certain places that i dont recall, but i dont think anybody recomends heating for any kind of substrates these days, nor tubs in tubs of water, standing water breeds anaroebic bacteria...colonizing cakes, and especially bulk substrates produce their own heat and will be above room temps without heat.

Tuh in tub are for incubators not fruiting anyway. And if your house is at least 65 you don't need it
