The liquor can do amazing things I feel. As long as you moderate and do it when your body allows it to I mean why not? Usually whenever I'm on a psychedelic trip I consume a little bit of alcohol to open things up a bit. Booze is kind of a beautiful thing in my opinion... I just go with 100 proof rye whiskey. With ice of course

Have any of you rye substrate growers ever considered using left over substrate in a whiskey batch? Has that been done

Eh I can't imagine wanting to use nasty used up spent grain spawn mixed with horse poo or coconut fiber to make booze..
I think most people would just use good old rye

Lol horse poop. Anyways I made my 4 jars and they are sterilizing right now in pressure cooker for 90 mins. I might be getting spores tomorrow.. I will try to post pics of my jars. I used 2 parts verm, 1 and 1 for water / brown rice flour. I have also been working on a poor man's no air zone chamber

Both pics are upside down for some reason. I left space on top and put in dry verm (about 1/4 inch) . I added foil before putting in pressure cooker. Can somebody change the thread name to grow log

A poor mans no air zone chamber is (right now) a shoe box with the top cut off and plastic wrap taped on, with two holes cut out for arms lol. Just so I can inoculate without air containments

Lol still air is kind of the same as air free zone right? I don't like memorizing terminology

Getting ahead of myself with the fruiting chamber. Fingers crossed these stupid spores even come today

This is what happens when you don't get terminologies right though. Everyone's like where the hell did you get this information? When really if you said a poor sab, they'd give you their opinions. In my opinion you want a real sab. That's too small and way too easy to move the air around in a small thing.

Well I have a huge tub I can set up but idk about putting extensions in there and all of that. I kind of can't spend any more money for a while lol. I can just cut some holes in it the size of my arms and work in that? I'll post a pic later

A tub with holes for your arms is perfect. Anything more is just to make it look fancy, maybe offer a little draft protection. I couldn't see any kind of arm attachment offering more than a 5% increase in effectiveness if your technique was otherwise good. It's for comfort and to satisfy our nagging human brains.
