Hey grower, just finished moving into a new place as well and expanded my greenhouse setup from Martha style, to 8'L x 7'H x 6'W greenhouse in our single car garage. It will house edibles(oysters, shiitake, lions mane, beech, etc) Intake is a ventech 4" feeding into a tub with a 3 head ultrasonic fogger(plugged into hygrotherm) Exhaust is also a ventech 4" feeding out of the garage. Both are run from speed controllers.
Twin t8 flouro bulbs for lighting,
Would like to make a video of my setup to see what you think, and to throw a couple questions at ya?

Yea man feel free to post a video. Im willing to bet a 3 head fogger will not be enough humidity with those fans going full blast.

The dimensions of my fruiting chambers are near identical to yours (7'x7'x6'). Each is run by a 5-head fogger and on some days I need to dial down the airflow to get the humidity up.

The three head puts out a very good amount of fog. When it's plugged in and running continuously(not on hygrotherm) it fills up my chamber thick with fog, even with fans running. Maybe the hygrotherm I have is inaccurate and reading higher than actual humidity, but it's reading 80/85%RH. Maybe I would just have to do some manual misting once a day?

Ok so here's the video of my new setup, my questions are: 1- would a pump to sprinkler head(swamp cooler setup)/mister system benefit my current setup? 2- Options to exhaust out of the garage would be, leaving garage door open a smidge at the bottom, drilling hole in garage ceiling(drywall) and venting out the side of the house roof.

Figured out the exhaust, just going to leave the garage door opened slightly enough to to let ducting fit. Oysters are already showing improvements, caps are getting noticibly bigger over the course of 2 days in the new setup. I don't want to hijack your thread any further gr0wer, so I will leave it at that or start my own thread. Big thanks for all the help from you and the shroomery community. Best of luck to you getting your setup finished, I will be monitoring!

Yea im using a dryer vent for my 55 gal drum steamer area. They cost like $15 and all you need is a saw or in my case a 1/4 die grinder with a carbide.

Hey gr0wer, wondering why you decided to switch from hanging logs from the roof of your grow chamber to shelving? Was just checking out your youtube channel, new lab looks great. Did you ditch the pasteurizer and switch to sterilizing?

Yea no more straw or pasteruizing, i now use a 55 gal drum steamer sterilizer. The shelving allows the bags to be laid out and allows a much higher substrate density in my chamber. I also use soybean hulls which have a higher BE.

Your setup looks awesome. How are you transporting the sterilized bags to the clean room?

They are sterilized in the sterilizer that's inside the cleanroom. I then transfer them onto wire racks on wheels for cooling then they get inoculated and go back onto the rack to be wheeled out the lab and into incubation. When they are ready I wheel the kart into the chamber for punctuin, deflation and shelving.

Hey grower, how do you deal with gunk building up in the exhaust fan housing? I noticed mine starting to smell. Opened it up and found some nasty sticky brown gunk starting to build up.

By cleaning it regularly. Staments wrote that he's seen so much spore build up destroy commercial size fans.

I just took apart and cleaned my IF6 last month. It was fucking disgusting to say the least. I plan to make it a quarterly or bi annual thing to break down the exhaust, scrub the vent stack, clean the fans and replace the clear poly ducting. The IF6 took a hose down really well, Used a bottle brush to get in all the vanes. I left it in the sun for 2 days before re assembly and turning it back on.

You can actually spray the can fans down with a pressure washer and they keep on trucking. There's not much in there that you can't see from the openings. Kind of crazy how they sling so much air

Ill give it a shot next time. That would make cleaning much easier, maybe do a monthly hose down then a annual deep scrub.

They are wood lovers. I was growing them on 100% blended mulch and they loved it.
Just pasteurize the mulch and noc up?

So you want a small garage or overhead door for your grow. Probabbly best not to reinvent the wheel and buy a roll up door, they make them in most shapes and sizes. Good good idea for a small footprint grow, no door swing to get in the way. Overhead door makes the best but they are expensive, usually a few thousand per door. It could also just be a magnetic seal door that rolls up. You could even rig it up with a drawstring using a rod that winds up the door, much cheaper.
