Can you take a close up shot of the pallet wood? Typically where the nails go in you will see a black streaking/staining. I'm wondering if that is a fungus or what... I just picked up a few pallets and they all had this.

Its nail rust. Super common since pallets typically sit outside in the rain and the nails are plain steel. I should add this plank is off an oak pallet so its much stronger and harder than a typical softwood pallet.

I may be blind but what kind of water filter do you use? A standard active carbon filter?

The water filter for my misters is a fine screen. I think the rating is like 200 mesh or 80 micron. No carbon filters or anything. A RO filter wouldn't be bad, especially for my Swamp cooler, but there hella expensive. Charcoal filters really don't pull much out of the water, especially when it comes to hard minerals.

I don't know anything about mesh water filters. Are they reusable or what is the lifespan?
RO will run about 150 for a cheap one and not counting filter replacements.

Its just a SS or plastic screen mesh to catch sediment from clogging up the foggers. You wash them out.

The water filter is just on the misters. The swamp cooler just has a small screen o ring on the garden hose fitting. That reminds me I need to clean out my swamp cooler. Starting to get caked up with minerals again.

So in an effort to increase yields i think i'll be moving from 6 logs on a 6 week cycle to 9 logs on a 4 week cycle. This should give me 2 solid flushes and dump the 3+4th flush which are worthless anyways, mostly medium sized single fruits or clusters of 2-3 fruits. I think i have the room for an extra 1/2 bale in my pasteurizer but it will be tight.

This is getting pro grower, wish I had my oysters tuned in like that. Have you been doing trials with a wood based sub yet?
