I love me some oats! Paid just under $19 w/ tax at my local feed and seed, so by the pound, it's slightly cheaper than Pennington WBS at walmart. I've never used oats before, but I've heard good things, so if I'm satisfied with its performance, it may be my new grain of choice.

Those are some good oats. There's bits of straw usually in it. I usually keep em in with the oats for spawn.

I inoculated some plates with PE a few days ago I hear they take awhile to germinate so I haven't looked. I want to shop online but not sure what to get. I can probably use something to flame with, my lighters die fast. You guys know of something that's good to use for flaming?

Butane torches work pretty well...the kind they sell at lowes, home depot, etc. I have a wickless alcohol lamp, but it is a little more work and slower.

I put PE spores to pp5s on the 18, most show growth and no contams so far. Also a pet supply company I get coir bricks from sent me a promo email for free shipping + a 15% discount so I got a few for three bucks a brick delivered.

Nice Dude! Nice! Let me know how your plates go...I usually buy my Coir at a local Mom an Pop's pet store...they have bricks and loose Coir (it's alot more expensive) I usually just buy all the "3packs" they have...the cashier thinks I have a bunch of tree frogs. Lol

Thanx Ham, I think that's cheaper than I'm paying at the local pet store, especially with the free shipping.

Not a fan of eco-earth quality control. I stick to GH bricks. The hydro store in Jersey I go to, the guy gets me a pack of 24 for 2 dollars each.

Pasty said the same thing about Eco earth coir. I thought that's what everyone used
What are GH bricks? I'll make a trip out to the hydro store this week, it's not too far. What brands should I be on the lookout for?

I always buy these guys ever since I found sticks and shit in my eco-earth. I think generally everyone uses eco-earth, I've been advocating GH bricks since I started doing bulk:

Great quality, I've never found something I shouldn't have from them. While you're at the hydro store, start growing weed
