Habitat:grassy area

Gills:brownish color

Stem:1/4"-1/8" at base then tapering toward cap.

Bruising a brownish color. Very dense, snaps rather than bending. Spirals around. Perfect hollow circle in the center. Fibrous. 1.5-3" tall.

Cap:The younger ones are tan, older ones are brown

Spore print color: just started to take one but some of the stems and caps had jet black spores on them. Smells like a portobello mushroom.

Bruising:brown

Hmm.. some features match but couldn't find one that looks the same. Is it possibly active or edible?

It's a Lacrymaria. It's not active.
