i mean i understand going to a real restaurant and getting chef prepared meals with family/dates, etc.
but why the hell do people go shitty places like fast food, chipotle, etc.?
just make your own damn lunch
Simplify your diet. Quit eating meat, or just like, bake some fish in the oven. thats what I do. Eat a salad, eat some cereal, eat a banana, bam, make a smoothie. bam. done. very few dishes, very little prep, it's easy, it's cheap, it's healthy. I just don't see the point in wasting time and energy going out to eat just to satisfy a craving for a certain kind of food or whatever. eating is just something you have to do to get the necessary nutrients you need to live. just be efficient about it and get on with your life.
Oh but Good food and sex are the two best things in life brooo.
Sure, eat good food, SOMETIMES. You don't have to stuff your face with McDonalds and Chipotle every day. That would be sort of analogous to fucking a prostitute every day, or something equally sexually gross.

often timing is the issue, hard to prep food if you don't have a place to safely store it and lunch hours are often 30 minutes so no wiggle room for traffic ect.
i agree i hate eating shit food because you need fuel and it is the only thing to fit in the time frame. also many many people are so disconnected from food they can't prepare it let alone grow it or understand where it comes from.

You seem like the type of person that got rid of their TV so you can tell people "I don't even own a TV" when they're talking about a show they like.

eh i pretty much only watch sports, once in awhile i will watch a movie or an anime but that is on the computer. i dislike commercials and most mass broadcasting.
tv is just so fucking dumb most of the time, i don't understand how people get attached to it.
back to food, i live in a city where most of the big chain food places are not allowed so we have some unique smaller places but whats up with people wanting the same menu everywhere? wouldn't you think there would be a little local variance on what they offer? also the cost of fast food only seems to be like 2 to 4 dollars less from a real sit down meal, convenience costs a lot.

FUCK THAT. Every dinner must be at least 40-50% meat. There is almost nothing at all that is "good" when it's less than 40% meat. Vegetable is just filler. The shit worth actually eating is the meat. One of my most ideal meals is Brisket (served with bread, pickles and onions) ribs, sausage and either ranch style beans or potato salad. Yes, all together.
As for fast food, my last job basically necessitated it. I need something substantial to keep me going and it has to be quick. I'm not eating fucking sandwiches or salad for lunch at work. I need real goddamned food. By the time lunch time rolls around I'm already dealing with jitteriness, dizziness and nausea.

People that eat fastfood everyday are distgusting. I use to work with a guy who would come with mcdonalds every single fucking day to work, so gross.
I'm down to do the better/classier fast food like chipotle/inn n out/five guys everyonce in awhile when youre pressed for time, or lazy, or driving, or whatever, but I definitely don't get people that eat it all the time.
I think fast food is an easy cop out for moms with large familes. Buy all the kids a happy meal and call it a night. Fast food can be cheap too. $5 hot and ready pizza comes to mind.

Nor is it the only thing to watch out for. I'm a 6'1 male who could never break 150 pounds despite eating tons of "fattening" junk. Well the adipose tissue never showed... but the metabolic problems... fucking christ knows how much plaque is in my arteries right now. Lp(a) markers were almost 3x the high risk range last time i checked and I'm 23 years old. Then the autoimmunity... I like drugs and I like junk, but I have to encourage people to take care of themselves on the day to day after all this. Nothing sucks as hard as watching your body crumble

You can get decent deals at some places. The old school smash burger chain Steak 'n Shake has several burger+fry meals for $4. Last night I got a $4 triple and fries, $4 double with cheese and fries, and used a coupon (they send out a ton) for a free iced tea/drink. So I got about a pound of meat and equivalent of a ~12oz large fry for $8.56 in 3 minutes. Could be cheaper at home, but a few bucks for speed+convenience is worth it to me occasionally.

I'm about the same height and stayed around 160 through my late teens and 20s, but since turning 30 a few years ago I gradually put on about 30 lbs, mostly in the gut area. Definitely wasn't due to any dietary changes but I am getting less exercise since I got a car.
