You could weight the poly, and change amount to dial in. Panty hose are cheap. I think they still sell them in those plastic eggs at Wal-Mart. Worth a shot.
Like hanging with the old ladies on the canning isle wasn't strange enough.

I hit up some ultra cute chick at Target and was like, "Hey, this is kind of embarrassing, but I need a pair of pantyhose to help build some project of mine. I SWEAR!" She cracked up and grabbed them for me. If there weren't like 4 older women shopping for them I would've manned up, but whatever.
And yeah, they're way easier to deal with. My biggest issue was cutting the hose too short because I only bought one. Try to make it so the ties are on complete opposite sides (difficult if you use more than one layer). If they're opposite one another, it really helps to use the tie as a wedge on the top of the ball, if that makes sense.

If you're referring to a tek on how to construct a mini mono, this is not really one persay. Its more of a series of observations on different configurations and ways to dial in.
I am working on rewriting this so its closer to a tek and encompasses more designs. It should be ready fairly soon.
That's good info.
I some how hid that single first post in the beginning where you were explaining how this works. Remember me sending you a PM for the link cause I thought I hid the thread? Yeah no I'm retarded and actually hid tahat post... The most important part of this.. Uggghhh

Well I wasn't intending this to be a tek. More a commentary on how I like to fruit mini monos and some of the configurations that I like. The info in the OP is solid I assure you.

Oh I'm quit sure of it.
I however think you should turn this into a tek based off the results. Come on!

Guess I never saw this as something needing more detail that what I provided. But I will put a real write-up together but its gonna take some time. Need to collect a lot of pics and good teks take weeks if not longer to write. Not something you rip off in an evening. I still have other teks I need to finish too.
In the meantime I'm sure that with careful reading and maybe a few questions in the thread this one will suffice.

Jacob,
What would he put in the Tek that you can't find in OP? "Place your monotub holes in the type of configuration in OP. The end."

Now now. Remeber all info placed on this site will benefit for generations to come. The more details an experienced individual provides the more detail can later (as the years progress) can be added. This is the evolution of knowledge and should never be limited too " place monotub holes here"
I'm here to learn and thus improve. But hey that's just my human nature.

Well oddly enough that is mostly what is missing from the OP
I will do another write up where the first section discusses the dynamics and position of sub level holes, with some pics. Then each other section will carefully demonstrate the other configurations. But it won't be for a few months.

Here comes the boom jacob, and I truly am never a smart ass on here, so don't take this the wrong way, but I think with what Pasty has given us here, we can most assuredly figure the things out just by using TFSE(aha, never said that yet)!
Just look up mini monos, or even pasty's threads, or threads on reg. mono's, and you will figure it out, besides man, this guy is on a role, and has more important things to be working on then rewriting this for you!
Man, I am sure as I write this he has something big in the works he will be sharing soon, IDK this to be fact, but this guy don't go to long w/o coming out with something new, and exciting Jacob, so again, I know reading this probably got you all excited, and you want to know every little thing about it, just use your imagination, and the search engine a little
And more then likely(no pressure Pasty,LOL), He will probably have something new, and exciting coming out before you know it, but I can't say for sure, Jacob. In the meantime, have you read his post on how to easily work with agar it is called Pastywhyte's easy agar tek, ru working with agar Jacob, if not, this is a great place to start!

I don't see how that could be taken the wrong way lol. I completely agree with everything you wrote. All this work from all individuals is what will propel our expanding knowledge of Mycology. Yes I use the search engine daily lol. No I'm not working agar, I have two PF grows under my belt. I figured I'd master one thing at a time. The PF tek being the easiest I thought that would be the best place to starbefore moving onto bigger and better thigs.

Seconding jumping into Agar. Pasty's agar tek is really easy.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19208976
The problem with just jumping into bulk without also jumping into agar is that one bad jar can wreck a whole tub. Shit I used some old agar plates recently and still wrecked a tub.
Point is that it doesn't take much to ruin a whole grow. Knowing that your spores are clean via agar before inoculating quart jars is a huge plus.
