I'd rather deal with asshole Polaks than deal with insane muslims who want to impose sharia law and destroy your culture...

To each their own though, I can understand why you might not like Poles. They can be abrasive and rude people so yeah.

I still would like to go there sometime though. My background is 100% Irish but all my ancestors came here in the 1800s and I don't have any living relatives there that I know of. There are a number of family friends I could look up though.

Your family has been here since the 1800s and you are still 100% Irish?

What did they live in some kind of colony for Irish only?  How could that even be?

Not quite, but the ones on my father's side lived in a rural part of Ontario where a lot of the Catholics were Irish, and marrying within one's religious background was commonplace.

Did not notice the Canada flag.

I'm a quarter Irish but that is because of a grandparent.  A quarter Scotch and the same German for the same reason.  And then there is the other quarter that is my last name.  1700s, I think, and includes some Passamaquoddy.

Psilocybin mushrooms will be legal.
Cannabis will be legal.
Alcohol will be illegal and a Class A drug along with processed tobacco.
MDMA will be legal.
Benzos etc, most prescription meds will all be illegal.
You will all speak English and begin learning Irish.
You will all practice martial arts and will fight in a colloseum every Saturday night, no rules, weapons will be lying around the area also.

Just a taste of whats to come.

I could accept all that :thisisheavyman:

I know what you mean, yeah they certainly can !
Irelands actually been recieving an increasing number of threats from this so called ISIS apparently, going to blow up Newgrange, the Spire and shit like that.
In fairness tho, id say the crazy muslims came along, seen that half us are probably even crazier than them and just said ah sure fuck it there gonna ruin the country themselves anyway wel leave em be the poor fuckers.

Hahahaha lmfao.
Ok look, Im Irish 100% not my grandfathers great great grandfather or anything like that.  I love the place for some reason IDK. Its full of junkies, crooked cops/politicians, sneaky people, some nasty travellers (gypsies) dirty citys/towns and more. But I grew up here so thats why as much as I hate the place I still love it.  If I had the chance though I would be gone in an instant.  I wouldnt reccommend it as a holiday destination unless you plan on just getting drunk for the whole holiday, or staying in the middle of nowhere where you will soon become EXTREMELY bored.
Imo you should go somewhere better.
But its your choice after all, go ahead and find out for yourself.

I love Ireland.  Went there during the All Irish Finals and caught the Irish football fever.  Met some not so distant family and had a blast.

Dublin...now not my favorite place.  Probably the grimiest place, and definitely the most diverse.

the family I met there talked a lot of shit about the gypsies.  I saw plenty of junkies too.

But no way there's plenty of fun, beautiful, mystical places to go...at least from the perspective of a tourist.

Well VOTE FOR MCCONMHAIGH #1 in the future

And also, Id like to add, i hate hearing this "oh im one fifth chinese" "oh im quarter from antarctica" bla bla bla rubbish.
Your from where your born, grew up in and MAYBE you may have some other foreign blood in you if a parent is from somewhere else.

Otherwise your just simply from Usa, Canada wherever. Not quarter Irish, eigth german, eight african and half Australian.

Hear this a lot from the American tourists, "oh im Irish, my great grandfathers cousins grand uncle was from Ireland" or "oh, im Irish, my family moved here in 1843" etc.

NO YOUR NOT!!!!
