I may have heard or read somewhere that those chemicals your after/interested in, may be obtained through your photography supply warehouse?? Believe that shit MJK is spittin. Cops got it all and they have people assigned to get shit. Every department wants to be cutting edge. If they ain't got it and they want it or even hear about it, They get it. Regardless. it's your freinds telling on you or you personally breaking weak that gets you busted.Thats all the evidence they need. Just my opinion of course. But then again i no the difference between a "Convict" and an "Inmate". (Got a little off track)

I paid $25 for 10 tests, that's cheap and easy enough, figure I'll throw less than $3 away at a chance to learn something valuable.
The more I think about it I mostly wanna test myc with it. Got lots of places with really good looking myc but no fruits. Every year I go look and wonder. Would pay $3 to know for sure!
And it would be cool to if I ever got busted picking I could be like oh I have this project for school. I got this lil kit I'm testing things with wanna find out together what they are? We can toss em when we're done.
No matter what I'm sure I'll have fun with em and show y'all what I'm up to.

or they'll just go all civil asset forfeiture on your ass (or really on your house and cars and motorcycles and the money in your pockets) and sell that shit off to replenish their budgets.
civil asset forfeiture is a bunch o' bullshit and many police departments in the US are abusing it.

Oregon is one of the better states when it comes to asset forfeiture and I think that it's due in part to the state's ballot initiatives. https://www.ij.org/asset-forfeiture-report-oregon

Yeah..looking official is always a good way to go. I think it was NeoSporen that said he would go out with a garbage bag and pick up garbage while he hunted. I am a student so I get all geared up in my school attire and go hunt and nobody has bothered me yet. But I also am going to try the garbage bag route I think. Because it makes sense....and also because I hate littering :3

Test kit shipped and will be here this week!
I love the trash bag thing! Gonna have to do that! Funny if one day there's more people picking trash then actually finding mushrooms, we might stop getting posts of nice finds with cheetos bags and soda cans in the background!

a meixner test will have a positive result to Psilocin/psilocybin. All you need is some hydrochloric (muriatic) acid available at any hardware and some news print. You could test those mush for about 2 cents each. You may not even need the news paper, acid on the pileus would oxidize any tryptamines and turn blue. The primary purpose of the meixner test is to test for amotoxin http://www.mykoweb.com/TFWNA/P-17.html

That's cool! Wonder if that works on myc too! That's so much cheaper. So when I get the tests I'll compare them to a meixner test!
Ooh just thought too I should test some gallerina with the mmc psilocybin test see if the amitoxins trigger a false positive.
That would suck! Wonder how many people got fucked picking gallys thinking they were silly and the test the police used falsely identified them too.
Wonder if the gally myc growing in the same bed right next to potential cyan myc will false trigger positive. Could turn out to be a huge waste of time. Unless the gally myc has no amatoxins to trigger a false positive?
the test might as well just say yah there's myc in those wood chips mushrooms might grow there, might be poisonous might be trippy...
I do that for free just poking a finger in to look for white... Yah it's there... Now come back over and over to see...
Also just thought if I tested a specimen someone brought me with a meixner test and it was blue that would tell me it's either a silly one or a poisonous one. That's not very clear or conclusive. I'm hoping the tests I ordered aren't triggered by poison too!
So I got some experiments to do this fall. Might make a new hunting tek, might make a lot of calories burn in the name of science.

if you can't tell a Galerina from a Psilocybe, you SHOULD NOT be picking and eating mushrooms. Let us know your results

nice. my state scores a D- and is basically a policing-for-profit-through-asset-forfeiture nightmare for property owners.

This should be a head line on the hunting forum, might half the amount of ID requests for actives.
Or start a noob flame war...

I like new protocols like this. Watching this thread for sure.
