It's really easy to give someone shit when you're not the guy in the field telling the guy to put the gun down and you're really not sure if he's going to try and shoot you and them himself or do nothing at all.
When someone is unresponsive, you have to make a decision and sometimes you make the wrong one.
But this is a clear sign of cop suicide. You guys act like these cops aren't people too with families at home to take care of.
If someone wants to kill themselves they can easily load a shotgun and blow their damn head off.
Don't confront him. Keep people away. Let time wear him down. Cops do that all the time when there are hostages.

Linking to a wiki page doesn't prove anything
It doesn't even give statistics
Taken from your page LOL:
Quote:
Many police departments have their own code of conduct. They train new recruits and investigate police officers if they have a complaint from a civilian or a criminal. There are also some state laws put in place to help protect civilians and criminals from corrupted officers. If the officer is found guilty, officers can be sued by the victim for damage caused by police brutality, false arrest and imprisonment, malicious prosecution, and wrongful death.[4]
Federal laws strongly prohibit officer misconduct, including officers who follow the code by "testilying" or neglecting to report any officer who is participating in corruption. If an officer is in violation of any of the officer misconduct federal laws, only the federal government can issue a suit. The police department is only responsible for preventing corruption among officers. If an officer is convicted, they may be forced to pay high fines or be imprisoned. To be convicted, the plaintiffs must prove that the officer was following the code or participating in negligence and unlawful conduct. It is often hard to convict an officer of following the code or other forms of corruption because officers are protected by defense of immunity, which is an exemption from penalties and burdens that the law generally places on private citizens.[4]
"U.S. Supreme Court decisions have continually asserted the general rule that officers must be given the benefit of the doubt that they acted lawfully in carrying out their day-to-day duties, a position reasserted in Saucier v. Katz, 533 U.S. 194, 121 S. Ct. 2151, 150 L. Ed. 2d 272 (2001)."[4]
You just worked against yourself. With the upcoming new age of technology it harder than ever for police to get away with corruption.
Again, all your shit talkers on cops just make me laugh at how cute you guys are.
How do you not know this is how it works?
Cops protect their own - above all else. This code is enforced by punishing those who speak out about wrong doing. These cops are run out of the department through intimidation, disciplinary action and demotions. So called good cops do not survive in most American police departments because when they are forced to choose between doing the right thing or backing up up dirty cops, doing the right thing destroys their career.
The same kind of intimidation happens to prosecutors who dare attempt to prosecute bad cops - they lose the support of the police. Cops actively undermine cases.
This is the reality of how the police operate In this country.

That is to protect the hostages. If I tell you to drop the gun 3 times and you don't do it you are a fucking collander.

Leaving a guy in the middle of a road with a shotgun in a neighborhood with families is not an option.
This is not a hostage situation. This is a high tense situation with an individual that is unresponsive that has a loaded gun.

The fact the guy was in a wheelchair is a dead giveaway there's something seriously wrong with him... He should not have a gun.
Kudos to the police for a job well done

KrishnaDreamer said: Yeah, that's what I mean. Cops said, "drop the gun"
That's just some shit they say right before they are about to bust a cap in some fool, whether they have a gun or not. It's instinct to them. Kinda like "Stop Resisting!!! Stop Resisting!!! Stop Resisting!!! As the person lays face down on the ground with their hands behind their back with 9 cops on top beating the shit out of them. Make it more justifiable later on. He was resisting don't you know. Not saying that's what happened in this instance, but that's the status quo. Seen plenty of videos where they scream drop the gun and shoot, and the dude was holding a garden hose.. or a baby.. or whatever. Yes they mistook a baby for a gun. But it's hard out there ya know.
