I wanna be a corrupt DEA agent. I've had my local cops tell me I should become a cop, after they arrest me/harassed me.

I can tell you they treat high speed chases like a game. Was in one once that ended in a crash and the cops were sitting there laughing about it and telling the story as if it were entertainment (not a just the facts kinda thing for the report). The ones that had been involved were telling the others that showed up in the exact same way you'd tell the story of your crazy night out to one of your friends.

I bet they planted that 38 on him, and within a week they'll all be restored to active duty bragging to their friends how they rank up for getting into a gunfight with a crippled dude.

There was this old hippy couple here with some plants, they raided the place and destroyed everything.
The disgusting part is where there was a group of these little blue men bragging about it at the bar later. Like they did something cool and heroic instead of something utterly despicable.

Clearly Joe Biden is to blame...

I don't understand why one of the cops didn't just sneak up behind the wheelchair guy. Don't think he had rear view mirrors.
Looks like his family just hit the "sue Wilmington PD" lotto.

Pretty standard. Says a lot that people now expect this kind of behavior from cops.

This is exactly what I was thinking. There was absolutely no need for those cops to be gangsters. Where do they find these recruits whose problem solving skills are limited to shooting people,

Is there really a ‘war on cops’? The data show that 2015 will likely be one of the safest years in history for police
Quote:
Is there a “war on police” in America today? Most Americans think so, and that’s understandable given all of the media coverage of that topic. A Google news search finds 32,000 results for the phrase “war on cops” and another 12,100 results for “war on police,” with sensational headlines like “America’s War on Cops Intensifies” and [NYPD Commissioner] “Bratton Warns of Tough Times Ahead Due to ‘War on Cops’.” A recent Rasmussen poll found that 58% of likely US voters answered “Yes” to the question “Is there a war on police in America today?” and only 27% disagreed. But data on police shootings in America that were reported last week by The Guardian (“2015 May Be One of the Safest Years for Law Enforcement in a Quarter Century“) tell a much different story of increasing police safety.
According to data available from the “Officer Down Memorial Page” on the annual number of non-accidental, firearm-related police fatalities, 2015 is on track to be the safest year for law enforcement in the US since 1887 (except for a slightly safer year in 2013), more than 125 years ago (see top chart above). And adjusted for the country’s growing population, the years 2013 and 2015 will be the two safest years for police in US history (see bottom chart above), measured by the annual number of firearm-related police fatalities per 1 million people.

I dont blame the individual officers in any of these types of cases. They are TRAINED to react this way when someone has a gun on them and wont follow simple orders. How are they to know what that person plans to do with that gun, especially someone who is mentally unstable enough to want to end his own life.
Call me a cop-lover or w/e all you want but seriously, they are just doing what they are trained to do. If that man wouldve whipped out the gun and shot several people/the cops themselves everyone would be bitching about how the police werent doing their job.

They are participating in someone!s suicide. I'm really getting sick of this attitude that any one who has or may have a weapon is fair game for execution. The police don't have to act this way.
Police in this country do not serve the public. They do not protect. They are concerned about their careers and not breaking their fingernails. That guy in the wheelchair was a danger to himself and only himself. The police could have kept people away and waited for an opportunity to arrest him, or wait for him to kill himself. But that takes time. They came in forced a resolution to the situation in a matter of minutes. Just easier to kill the guy than actually put in some effort to their job.

You aren't the guy going up to a guy who has a loaded gun and is unresponsive and in an extremely distressed state.
It's really easy to give someone shit when you're not the guy in the field telling the guy to put the gun down and you're really not sure if he's going to try and shoot you and them himself or do nothing at all.
When someone is unresponsive, you have to make a decision and sometimes you make the wrong one.
But this is a clear sign of cop suicide. You guys act like these cops aren't people too with families at home to take care of.
If someone wants to kill themselves they can easily load a shotgun and blow their damn head off.

I agree, but they put themselves in that situation to begin with. Maybe they need to research new tactics. I saw a vid of the cops from the UK disarming someone without using guns.

The cops in my town are all militarized already. They once shot and killed a teenager who took a bb gun to school.

While I agree that cops can often be trigger happy, if you have a gun and the police are involved... if you do not put the gun down and are unresponsive.... 99/100 times you are going to get shot. There are some cops out there in the world that may not... but they are rare and they have some serious balls to go against someone with a gun.
I'll tell you what: Much braver than I.

"they put themselves in that situation to begin with"
No, they were called to address that situation.
"UK disarming someone without using guns"
Let them come over here and try it, they would quit after one shift.
