I think I got him beat though. I just finished a backpacking trip that lasted 4 months. During that hike I smoked about 6-8 times a day. In other words, I was high from when I woke up to when I went to sleep for 124 days straight. Seriously fucked up my head though. I've been completely abstaining from it for the last month (a nice refresher) but I literally got to a point where I couldn't remember where I'd been the day before. I mean I'd remember after awhile, but it would sometimes take me five or ten minutes just to remember where I had been camping that morning. Really fucked with my short term memory.
That said, I don't regret it at all. I think that it was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. Literally was "in the now" for 4 months straight while out in nature. I HIGHLY recommend--get it?
That's awesome I've always wanted to do something like that. I don't have any experience though, maybe start with something a bit shorter haha. Were you hiking a specific trail?

I have short-term smoke as much weed as possible "retreats" once in a while where my friend and I will just smoke as much as we can and chill out and go on leisurely rides and make art and stuff. The funnest one was actually going to the Jersey shore(wildwood/cape may) with a few people in the dead of winter when things are completely shut down(it was a family vacation house, we wouldn't actually pay to go do something like that). It was just a relaxation kind of weekend where we were completely 'my brain feels barbequed' high at all times, and everything was basically deserted, the boardwalk, all these weird '50's style resorts and perfectly matching housing complexes, so we kind of started pretending the apocalypse had happened and we were survivors and made a massive sheet fort/bunker with and a secret entrance and stuff.
Basically it would've been the weirdest, lamest weekend ever to anyone who wasn't completely stoned beyond comprehension. It was too frigid and windy to even spend much time on the beach, doing whatever you do on the beach during winter.
Other than those times though, I actively try to keep my tolerance as low as I can while still being a regular smoker, except for the odd week out I don't smoke everyday so much anymore.

Yes. It was the Pacific Crest Trail. Walked 2,650 miles and tripped very 7-10 days. Writing a book about it now. So to the other poster who asked if I "Just lived in the woods getting high by myself"--no, I was hiking 20-30 miles a day.
