Reishi block questions *DELETED* *DELETED*

*rewritten*
Im attempting to grow antlers from 3.5lbs blocks.
A. Mycelium is growing up the walls of the bag, should i trim this? Should i trim excess pins if too many form?
B. If i open the bag, don't cut it down and put into fruiting chamber will the bag height affect Co2 levels? Does it pool and is generally unaffected by airflow into the martha or does bag height dictate co2 concentration inside the bag walls(top open) regardless of indirect air flow?
C. Which side do i want to error on? Can i harm them by not enough air exchange?

Copy/Pasted from the link I provided for you:
Primordia ("Antler") Formation: CO2: 20,000-40,000 ppm
Primordia ("Young Conk") Formation: CO2: 2000-5000 ppm
an additional link I found using google.

I don't think it matters if Reishi grows up the bag walls. With other mushrooms this can be a problem, because the bag walls tend to be poor at supporting a growing mushroom, like a King Oyster for example. But Reishi grows so hard that it seems to have no problems at all, it provides it's own scaffolding.
I've wiped the bag walls with an alcohol soaked cloth when initially putting the bag into fruiting conditions, which keeps the bag walls clear as the mushrooms fruit. But I'm not sure it's worth it. They seem to do fine whatever I do.

Perhaps this is strain or environment specific? I fruit mine indoors in an ultrasonic humidified greenhouse. I've found if I put them into the FC at 100% collonisation things progress much quicker than if I leave them in bag to pin.

Yeah, that quote was from 4 years ago. Idk why he said that you have to let them pin in the bag. I was just showing OP that sometimes a simple search can answer all of your questions.

To promote antler growth you want to reduce airflow, this results in the co2 levels building up. The biological reason for this is in the wild many species of Ganoderma grow stipes to help get the fruit above leaves and up into the open air where it can start releasing spores.
Once you get the stipes as long as you want them slowly introduce fresh air, if you do it all at once you may shock the antlers into stalling, this depends on the species. Increasing the airflow is tricky and many people have difficulty keeping humidity up when they do, you want to keep them moist, but not too moist. If you are fruiting in a bag and want conks you will want to cut the bag down and move the bag into a fruiting chamber of sorts.

I only need to increase airflow if I want to form conks at the end tho right? Not if the goal is only antlers?
You said they don't like to be too wet. I was also under the impression they benefited from being misted often. Should I avoid standing water in the bag?

Why are you deleting all your posts? You know that's against the rules right? All you're doing is fucking up search results for the next guy.
From what I gather your initial question was possibly about reishi climbing up the side walls of the bags?

I was under the impression from a few responses that my post was a repeat and was already negatively affecting the search results so I attempted to delete the whole thread but don't think I can. Not trying to infringe on the TOS or cause problems. Sorry.
