PF Tek - How long before contams appear?

I'm doing my first grow and it has been 5 days since inoculation. Jars are contained inside a translucent plastic bin above a baseboard heater. Chamber is probably in the 70 to 75 degree range.
I'm seeing good, rapid mycelium growth. (Interestingly, I used 2 different batches of substrate, and the drier batch of jars is growing quicker.)
I do not see any signs of contams... yet. How long will it take before I know if I'm in the clear? I.e., jars are contam free. Should I see them by now if they're there, or could they appear in 2 or 3 weeks from now?
Thanks.

They can appear at any point in the process however after they are consolidated for a week after 100% colonization they develop a stronger resistance to contaminations. That is according to some pretty reliable resources on here. I have had trich infect a cake that was supposed to be fully consolidated. I will admit though, I have rarely let them fully consolidate because of my impatience. (I am improving for sure though) My failures could be due to lack of consolidation. As long as everything looks good up until the point you put them in the chamber then you should begin to breathe easier. Right now you could see them pop up at any moment for sure.

Bummer. I was hoping I was in the clear. Anything I can due to ward off potential contams while they incubate?

Dunk and roll.
This is actually incorrect because they are incubating therefor you cannot dunk and roll them yet.
They need be fully consolidated before you do a dunk and roll. Do not birth them early for any reason.
While I am not sure that verm prevents infections on your cakes after you dunk them, I will not deny it outright. It seems logical but I do know that the only reason for a roll after the dunk is for a moisture barrier to prevent the cakes from losing to much moisture over time.
The only thing to prevent contams from getting to your cake while incubating would be keep them in a clean environment and be sure to not disturb your dry verm barrier on top by tilting it or anything this can cause some of the contams that get into that verm to fall down into the sides of your cake and possibly expose it to contams that could have been avoided.

Perfect. That's what I'll do. Thanks!

I misunderstood. Thought he meant when they were birthed and in the terrarium. Like Entheo said, keep a clean environment. Maybe get some Tyvek filters. You can even leave the aluminium foil on the lids but you will sacrifice air flow.
