Yellowish/orange, slightly decurrent gills

Stem:

Spore print color:
Orangish/burnt orangish see q-tip

Smells pretty good/woodloverish?, taste is weird/numby-tingly/slightly bitter but not awful.

Certainly a Gymnopilus species, maybe someone else can help you narrow it down.

I don't think they are Gymnopilus sapineus, but definitely contrast your collection to it.

I see the resemblance in the sapineus but I think they look more akin to  aeruginosus than sapineus. These smell rather strongly sort of reminiscent of oysters, if that helps. But we are pretty positive they are Gyms. Right TI's? :mushroom2:

This may help narrow down your collection: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/165. I definitely think they belong in the genus Gymnopilus.
