Great movie, great soundtrack too. Showed that to a lot of my friends who were just like "WTF? Is this really a movie about an old guy driving a lawnmower?". Some people don't get movies without shiny things and lots of flashing lights/explosions.
That soundtrack is beautiful. The shots over the fields with that one piece playing are great.
Pretty much anything Ry Cooder does music for is decent, certain to have some quality cinematography.

Nonsense. Art isn't about entertaining an audience.
Oh yes it is. It is not about the glory of the artist, it is about the appeal the art has upon the audience, how it moves and affects them.
Its certainly not about a servant who fancies himself king.

Which reminds of "Paris, Texas", another weird but pretty cool film. Not to everyone's taste I'm sure, again not many bright lights and shiny things, but very involving if you are the type to actually sit and watch a movie while your brain works at the same time.

Whwn one makes art, thet can only guage what they see and want to see. You can't appeal to everyone, and out of the gate half of people wont like whatever you did anyway

That doesn't make any sense. Art is just a means by which to communicate ideas.Quote:

Artists don't have to entertain you, they aren't clowns.
