hello everybody, great forum,
I am new to mushrooms. I had in my garden this mushrooms developed to an old (dead) mulberry tree. The top one is from last year, at the beginning it was creamy white, then bright red/orange and now it is dark and very hard, like wood. This year they appeared two more, same as the previous one! I made my research, it seemes to me like reishi, but I am afraid to consume. Can anybody identify this as a reishi ganoderma mushroom? Thank you!

It is a ganoderma....one of the red species...maybe a lucidum. However, they look pretty old...especially the ones on top...I wouldn't bother with...maybe try cleaning the bottom ones off as the brown spores are covering up exactly what they look like....Also, what part of the world are you in?
....these were covered with spores and brown...I just took a damp cloth and wiped them down.

Thanks for your help!
It is in my garden in a small village in Greece. Altitude 800 m.
The top mushroom is from last year, and the others appeared 3 months ago.
I just uploaded a video from last year at my channel, in which you can see it better the old mushroom.
Last year I didn't know what to do with it, but I Iiked it, it was beautiful. This year I decided to look information for it and enjoy the health benefits if it is edible.
I saw some youtube videos and I am thinking to use it according this one (tincture and boiling):
every advice is very welcome!

When I was googling Ganoderma Greece I cam across this picture-
The mushrooms in your video kinda look like Ganoderma sessile, I'm not very knowledgeable about them though.

Stevo, the ones in the pic were harvested and dried...chopped up for extraction / decoction. There were plenty more growing on this hemlock...next time I go that way, I'll send you one....just IM me your address.

Very good observation. G.sessile is the North American variant of Ganoderma resinaceum (A European species). They look pretty much the same and only recent DNA studies have confirmed them as separate.
I think this is Ganoderma resinaceum, you can confirm by checking the spores.
What you would be looking for is something that looks like the spore on the right, whereas lucidum is the spore on the left.

Members of the G.resinaceum clade have "smooth" spores.
G.resinaceum group

Ganoderma lucidum has a rougher spore type, with prominent speckles, G.resinaceum is also speckled, but they are more numerous and smaller speckles, giving it its "Smooth" appearance.
