My outdoor grow wont grow!

Hi, I'm CT and I would just like to say I've been a lurker for years and this site is the most useful for shrooms I've seen. Even though this is my first post I really need help so please someone HELP!
So now my problem:( I used Moe's outdoor grow tek, followed it to the t and my patch is showing no signs of growth. I started with 6 quarts of fully colonized (GOLDEN TEACHER) rye grain berries, added them to my patch about ten days ago and I've seen no signs of mycelium growth.
It's been in the mid 70'S here in NY.
So my 3 questions are 1. Why is my patch not growing? and 2. What will happen over the winter to my mycelium? And 3. Is it possible for the mycelium to stay preserved and start growing again in the spring?
I'm sorry if these questions have been answered already but I've spent countless hours searching for the answers and have found nothing.
Thanks in advance for your help!

1. Dunno 2. Can't be certain. 3. Yes it's possible
Potential reasons- critters, contaminated spawn, father time is taking an extra long bath.

Thanks for the reply and everything was done in a sterile environment except the move from outdoor to indoor. What do you mean by critters?

The problem with putting grain spawn outside is that grain is food and outside is where all the organisms that like to eat live. I've had mine dug up or eaten by bugs before it could recover before.

I just checked on the patch and it doesn't appear to have been dug up except the corner I used to check it the mycelium hasn't spread to the manure at all as far as I can see :/ is there anything I can do about it?

Be patient or work on other prospects. Are you keeping it watered?

x2.... I haven't had the best luck with outdoor grows because of this.

I looked at it today and there were some bugs that I could see on top, not a lot just a regular amount for anything in the ground. And it is just about fully colonized nothing got to it. So I guess it's beginner's luck

*UPDATE* The patch is starting to fruit nicely it's been in the high 60s low 70s here and should stay that way maybe I'll even get a second flush!
