Cobweb or some other type of mold?

2.5 weeks ago I innoc'd a set of BRF jars. This past Saturday one of the jars had an almost transparent mycelium-like substance growing in it that looked different from the normal white mycelium I'm use to seeing. 96 hours later the substance now looks like normal mycelium, but it has almost completely covered the 1/2 pint jar. The growth speed makes me suspicious that I'm dealing with some kind of mold here.
Here's what it looked like 96 hours ago:

It's difficult to see but you can see a thin, transparent substance growing at the top.
Here's what it looks like tonight:

For point of reference here's a jar with unquestionably healthy mycelium that germinated a few days before the above jar showed signs of growth. This one is colonizing MUCH slower:

It's worth noting that this is my 3rd grow. My first two grows had no contams, but I confess I was a bit sloppier with the sterilization procedures for this grow and so I won't be surprised if that jar is indeed contaminated.

Its called cobweb and that is not it.
Those jars look clean. The second one looks fully colonized. Let it consolidate for a week if it just got to that point.

Thanks but is it normal for jars to become colonized so quickly? I thought they should at least take a few weeks after germination.

Looks clean.
That is fast though, my guess is you got lucky on the genetics.
Let it consolidate for a week and give it a smell when you birth it.

looks fine to me
not even sure what i'm supposed to be looking at aside from white mycelium
you are dealing with some kind of mould but i think it's the kind you want =P
my guess is it looked transparent because it was thinly and more evenly spread out
this + good growing mycelium and i wouldn't be surprised if it colonized that fast

That's a very fast timeline, but it looks healthy.

Is it possible that the myc colonized the full outer perimeter of the substrate first, and the interior is still mostly uncolonized?
I agree it looks healthy but I'm still shocked at how fast it colonized. The other jars innoc'd from the same species/syringe are colonizing at a normal (slower) rate.

Myc doesn't colonize that way. It colonizes outwards in a 365 degree radius. If the outside is colonized, then the inside is absolutely colonized.
