Two months of 2 to 3mg a day? Sounds like the snowball is halfway down the hill. Please be careful you seem like a really nice guy and I hate seeing addiction happen to kind souls. Don't forget to save some for the withdrawals so you don't seize out and die. Taper responsibly and carefully please =/

Maybe if you're a heroin addict. High quality Kratom is a moderately strong opioid to those with low opiate tolerance. Recommending it for opiate cravings isn't really helping the situation, especially if OP isn't even addicted. The cravings will pass with time. I find vigorous exercise every day almost completely nullifies my cravings for what it's worth.

I think I'll be okay. I'm tapered off and gone through this before. Benzo WD is just so fucking uncomfortable though

Maybe if you're dosing too heavy. You should keep your doses light. Lighter doses of kratom only act upon the delta opioid receptors and don't further opioid addiction. Heavier doses act upon the kappa opioid receptors once the delta are saturated. This is when further developing your addiction becomes a danger.

However, I agree with exercise and sobriety. If OP can do that, then he should. but that option seems like a no brainer, so I was offering other options.
Myrrh also has an affinity for the delta opioid receptors when consumed.

The enjoyable effects of Kratom are most likely due to μ opioid receptor agonism since that is the 'euphoric' opioid receptor. 7 hydroxymitragynine is what is thought to be the main active constituent. It's potency is 17 times that of morphine but its present in tiny amounts. I haven't read about it preferentially binding to delta receptors. Do you have a source? This stuff really interests me.

It's not hard to find some research into the subject on google. In lower doses it is not as euphoric, but still very enjoyable. More stimulating, with some noticeable analgesia.

there are only 2 ways that have worked for me personally.
A(prefereable): a long period of abstinence. i havnt used opiates in over a year and i dont really crave them anymore (but i am alcholic)
B: Using opiates/sedatives to stop the craving. (eg suboxone, methadone). long acting benzos like valium or klonopin can help to. but again, this isnt a preferable solution

Personally when i drink it increases craving. Benzos as well Although thats if i pass the point of "barred out".
Good luck op. I seen you around for a bit now.
Ive seen many bad opiate habits start from Something small. Its kinda hard to watch ppl go down the road i took but knowing i wrote off all warnings, i dont like to preach.
Whatever happens, dont be too hard on yourselF. The cravings, in my opinion, never go away but they will decrease in intensity and then in frequency. You may reach a point where months go by and they dont cross your mind and then one day, bam! Youre feinding and its impossible to shake the idea from your head. This is usally preceeded by stress Even if you relapse just try again.
Im a chipper now and i regret almost everytime i use opiates. Blew a hundred bucks this week on them and im barely even getting off.
The cost of the habit and feeling stupid for blowing so much dough on a feeling should be a detterant but its just a vicious and endless cycle. IF you dont quit all together.
Im a step away from getting seriously hooked. I tell myself ive handled kicka before and even if i get sick ill handle it. I know that confidence will fade in a panic stricken instant during a sweaty anxiety attack and ill do whatever to make those feelings go away.
God i shudder at the thought. Im sooooo grateful to not be physically hooked but have a long way to go.
Im still addicted mentally and get it as often as i can.
Weed helps alot as far as keeping me off dope but it is a problem for my mental health i think. At least until i stop using it to escape
Sorry to ramble just wanna give you some insight. My life is hell years after trying and developing a fondness for opiates.
dont throw yours away please

Im on it now.
To the naysayers, i say, more for us.

Yep I'm 2 years clean used maybe a handful of times during that period but not going to let the few times out weigh what I've accomplished. But I'm an alcoholic now. And let me tell you id much rather be going through heroin wds than alcohol. Its so much worse. Doesn't help you can buy it at every corner store for cheap as duck.

If you get quality kratom and figure out the right dose for yourself then it can be very euphoric.

Yeah I've had some pretty euphoric kratom myself. It does kind of lose it's charm after using the same strain for a few weeks though.

Kratom is a decent opiate, more enjoyable than codeine to be honest.
