Cooling after pasturization

Im ready to mix up some coir and verm and i just wanna make sure i have it down. after i pasturize my sub at 160 for a hour do i put them in the fridge to rapidly cool? I read something that said in order to properly pasturize anything you not only need to keep the sub at a constant temp for a certain time but to rapidly cool the substrate right after..
Any clarification would be much appreciated

there's "thermal" beneficial microbes that thrive at higher temps. The goal is to let them thrive and take over the substrate so invaders won't be able to. I've left pasteurized manure in a tub in my basement for a few months now. Still no contams. I can guarantee any contams are from spawn if you haven't pasteurized properly.
Also I like to pasteurize anywhere in between 140-160, closer to 140 for 1 hour. Most molds die at 130 for 30 minutes. Anything higher than 140 for 60 is just killing more beneficial microbes.

Do not fast cool. Let things go back to room temperature naturally over night. Also don't wrap things so they cool down slow. Don't speed up or slow it down. Let it be for a day

Yep looks like every one got it covered. best to naturally cool.
Edit: Plus imo the extra time cooling helps kill off some thangs.
