anything that has been painted or dyed after it was woven is not tapestry by definition
but yeah, it seems that the definition is 'Tapestry' is pretty lenient in this thread.

The visuals I get from it are great, it looks like all the aspects of the hanging are on different planes (some look higher or deeper than others) and I get the cool ripple looking thing as if I threw a stone in the middle and it ripples the whole tapestry. It's also just a wonderful thing it have in your room. It just kinda brings everything together - everyone that's seen mine loves it
If you're not sure about getting it I highly recommend it. If you get one you like alot I promise you won't regret it

Yeah I'll get one eventually for my room. I think they look cool. People here were taking it the wrong way like always thinking I was judging all tapestry owners and saying that tapestries are for douche bags. I was merely saying that I happen to know a lot of people who own tapestries who are shallow and have clearly told me that they own one because it makes them look trippy. People seem to have a problem when I say someone is being a poser for doing something but if something like Kandi Kids or PLUR is mentioned everyone jumps on the hate bandwagon and starts hating on Kandi kids and PLUR. Fuckin hypocrites.

Nah, I really couldn't care what your opinion is regarding people who own tapestries.
I was attempting to demonstrate to you what you sounded like to me. Your "observation" seemed more like self-righteous judgement. Just as you claimed that having a tapestry makes people think they look trippy, one could say that posting pictures of your pills and having MDMAyyyy as your title would imply you are trying to look like a raver. That isn't my opinion of you, that is just your argument with the subjects changed. I actually like the pic (and love MDMA). I seem to recall pink imports that glowed as well.
Just trying to get you to reflect on yourself. You truly seemed like you were worried about what people would think of you if you got a tapestry since you believe it is now associated with "jock douche bags, poser basic white girls, hippy posers." All of these are judgmental statements intended to separate yourself from those you deem inferior.
IMO if someone talks about PLUR and they still look down on others, then they're the ones who don't understand what Peace Love Unity Respect means. But it happens and not everyone agrees with PLUR anyway.
I personally think the psychedelic experience is about transcending the EGO. What does it mean to you?
A couple sites for you to check out: Mindcradle.net has some really cool art blankets that can be hung on the wall like a tapestry and Jumbieart.com has some insane tapestries that are RGB light reactive. Both have some sick posters/prints as well as clothing.

I think you took the post too seriously.
I wasn't saying I cared what people thought of me and I wasn't judging others based off the fact that they have tapestries. It's not like I said "Poser white girls have tapestries so I'm not gonna get one."
I simply said I noticed that tapestries were becoming popular with that crowd. You sound like you are stuck in that post Shrooming stage where you take any comments like the ones I made as an attack or as me being self righteous. I know this because I Shroomed last Friday and had the shroomy after glow were you feel like being nice to everyone and what not and becoming sensitive to everything. It's awesome but it can also make you a pretentious hippy who takes things to seriously ( I could not stop criticizing people on here for being dicks). I even went as far as to say that I didn't agree with what they were doing in the Romper Room and told them it wasn't shroomy to call each other n*ggers. However I now realize I was taking it too seriously and that I was being pretentious going around saying people are being ego maniacs because they comment negatively about certain people or things.
Like chill dude, it's awesome to be shroomy and compassionate and the mushrooms taught me so much about that this last Friday and how it's important to be peaceful and loving but seriously taking a comment like this that seriously is lame. Like it's just an observation and if you read it carefully you'd know I said I don't care what anyone owns or chooses to do. Seriously you don't have to a hippy dippy 24/7 and take these kinds of comments as attacks or as offensive.
Seriously man no one is being judgmental or being self righteous and I'm not looking down on anyone. If I were doing that I would sound more like "HAHA look at those tapestry owning faggots, who do they think they are? Total noobs who don't even trip and should fuck off and stop being posers. They don't rave or trip like me and are just a bunch of tools who need to get on my level first before they can act all cool".
I also noticed people who constantly talk about "egos" and claim to have ego death usually still have egos and people who act all enlightened as well. Seriously you are sounding like a pretentious hippy right now

You literally said you wanted to get one and then said "however..." as if you didn't want to be associated with certain people that have them and then said they don't even understand the psychedelic experience... Don't take it so seriously
You really ought to check out Mindcradle and Jumbieart if you want something sick to hang on your wall. I don't think they have any mandala-style hangings but it's been a while since I've browsed their selections. The one that was posted above by LNFH is pretty dope and on amazon I believe.
Also laserguidedvisions has some sick holograms.

No he dosent dude. Seems like a cool festival goer to me. And who gives a shit if he just learned about psychedelics (which he seems experienced) because you were just experimenting at one time too and I'm sure you wouldn't want someone talking down on you because you're just learning to experience these chemicals. Grow up guys and let things slide. We're talking about wall hangings of all fucking things

I totally get how I could have come off as abrasive and judgmental by saying that a few people I know who have tapestries come off as posers in my own personal opinion but I do think people took it way too seriously and out of context by thinking that I'm talking shit about all tapestry owners or looking down at people who may or may not have done psyches and own tapestries just to look trippy.
My OP was pretty dumb looking back at it and it reminds me of my early days posting on here where I kind of didn't think out what I posted very well and ended up sounding like a stupid douche in the process so I apologize.

Rebelutionsssss said: Then buy a VW bus and pack all that shit up and throw it in there.
My ex in high school bought a 70's VW bus from a hippie in San Francisco. In its time it had gone across the country several times following the grateful dead tours. On the outside the windows were fully decorated with grateful dead stickers, eyelashes painted on the headlights. Inside, there was a bed with a hidden stash trunk with lock under the mattress. Shag carpeting, trippy ass carpet all on the ceiling and black lights all hooked up. I've had some super amazing trips, traveling and psychedelic, in that van. Good times indeed, that van had seen and been through some shit for sure!!!

We broke up when I was 19 but I think eventually he sold it to another psychonaught teenager for his own adventures. Those vans are expensive to keep up as cool as they are.

That is just the impression I got, sorry if you took offense. I'm guessing, like most people, you'll look back in a few months or years and say "damn, I was kind of a dips hit back then."

Doing a google image search brings up that it is made by Chris Pinkerton. You can go from there. I go something similar, in a green color, from Amazon.
Why are you always bumping these old threads?
