I am considering taking TRT...

I was very obese when I was younger. I have done quite a lot of research in the past, and many run testosterone when they are older for this reason
I have no personal experience in this area. But I have given it a lot of thought. I would be starting once I recover all of my "gains" that I lost from my spinal injury. This would be about a year. This is semi for the gains in the gym, but mainly for the effects on motivation, focus etc.
Before I take anything, I am going to continue generally healthy habits and heavy lifting for another year, and get tested for my testosterone every 3-6 months. If I remain below what I plan (I am planning on a realistic number based on my next blood test), then I will take a low dose of TRT
Any advice or anecdotes will be appreaciated. I am mainly concerned about the side effects of what I take

TRT all depends on dose. If you don't exceed the normal ranges of therapy (200mg/month), you won't have any sides other than boners, confidence and lean muscle.
Once you exceed the therapy limit and start to go into higher dosages (500mg +/week), the sides are still minimal compared to other AAS but gyno, abnormal blood lab values and hair loss are the big ones to worry about. Gyno is a bitch.
Just know that once you start TRT, it will fuck up your remaining natural T production and you will become dependent on it for the rest of your life.

So there is no way I could try a tiny "cycle" just once? For a month?

No. Everything about that is a terrible idea. Don't do that.
The benefits won't be seen until after 2-3 months. TRT is a permanent answer.
Try a natural testosterone booster if you are looking for something of a much shorter duration.

If you just plan on taking a low dose I can't imagine any problems. But steroid escalation and T are a regrettable path IME. You can get strong naturaly and the gains will stick. Also you aren't throwing any extra drugs in your system. You need the space for whats important.

Lol I love 4acomet
But I guess there is no simply "trying things out" huh...This is a much bigger decision than I first thought...
I guess I will try natural methods for 3 more months, then try a test booster. If I am still lower than I wanted, I will do TRT
So I understood it; test boosters rarely work that well
