What do you think it will do??

--------------------

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

What I think it will do I think will soundly deviate from what you think it will do, namely because of the extra question mark and because you have a bunch of christian links in your sig aligned in a way that moves me to think you're a conspiracy theorist. I could be wrong. I think that it will do what it says in the name, collide particles, i'm not terrifically knowledgeable on the matter, but i will say that I do not think it will create a black hole or end times or anything.

The last time it was almost fully activated was the 21st of December 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar. It got to 75 percent power then malfunctioned due to benevolent tampering. Same with nukes that have been fired with the intention of starting nuclear war, which has literally already happened before. Apparently balls of light show up and the technology stops working, its pretty funny. The same will likely happen tomorrow so I'm not worried about it or nuclear war. I think they already know it's not going to be allowed but they are trying anyways. So vain lol.

If there is anybody out there who doesnt want our solar system to collapse into itself or for a destroyed radiated planet to pollute them by proxy, they would probably make sure to intervene when necessary. I think we're being bad neighbors. xD

The technology is fascinating but just because we have knowledge doesn't mean we should lay down wisdom in order to carry out that knowledge.

They have ethics as to how much they can interfere with another planet. After a certain line is crossed, they would be tampering with our free will which they respect regardless of where it leads us. There's politics involved and it isn't as simple as coming here and forcing us to be good. We have to get our own shit together, delegitimize the self serving power structure that wants to enslave us, and become peaceful as a race before they come and make friends with us, give us cool technology and all of that fun stuff.

If CERN is really that dangerous which I don't think you dispute it is, do you think they would release fake positive reports in the propaganda news channels or would they say "sorry everybody. We literally almost smoked your asses but balls of light showed up. Boy do we feel silly now. Hang tight a couple more years for the apocalypse."

I'm not scared but I wonder about other timelines and dimensions that could cross over and shit. I dunno maybe I've read too much science fiction and fantasy. Fun stuff to think about. Maybe before the last test, it really was Berenstein Bears, not Berenstain.

LHC has already produced some compelling data to support the existence of the Higgs boson, which is a big deal. If they crank it up to full power nothing crazy is going to happen though.

When they had the issue that caused a setback. that was not fcking aliens. It was a coolant leak and the explosive change of liquid He to a gas ripped some of the magnets from their mounts. I think they had to wait for weeks just to begin repairs due to the time it took for temperatures to rise; similarly it take a long time to cool it back down.

The LHC is going to be instrumental in furthering our understanding of quantum physics, allowing us to improve on the models and in some cases, confirming or refuting certain elements of the theory. It is a very good thing and the sensational BS about blowing up the world is just plain stupid.

No, stephen Hawkings thinks that. Take it up with him. I don't think CERN will ever become active to any meaningful level.

@zappa this link isn't a larger news website but it has the vid of him making the warning. Apparently Neil Degrasss Tyson agrees with him.

Lol you trollin? This is an excerpt from a book he contributed to.

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/313922-cern-collider-hadron-higgs/

“The God particle found by CERN could destroy the universe,” Hawking wrote in the preface to a book, Starmus, a collection of lectures by scientists. The Higgs Boson could become unstable at very high energy levels and have the potential to trigger a “catastrophic vacuum decay which would cause space and time to collapse and… we would not have any warning to the dangers,” he continued.

I would love to see the actual quote instead of anyother whackjob group selectively editing it.

By the way, when they found the Higgs did the world end?

I think once they get to 100% speed of light collision, they will create a wormhole to another dimension.

But sadly that wormhole will only last a fraction of a second.

It will create the beam. Then we all need to follow the path of the beam into the clearing at the end of the path.

I'd give a shit about what Stephen Hawking thought about this. This could be playing with fire at an unfathomable level. :tripping:

Isnt the fastest they can go like 99.9% the speed of light?

I don't think god would allow it to happen

I mean if it hasn't already happened, then chances are it wouldn't end the universe

U have a point there, is 100% even possible?

I mean we cant even get to Absolute Zero. Scientists got VERY close but not Absolute.

Is 100% speed of light even possible? And what  happens at that speed when particles smash?

I doubt its world ending, the particles have too little mass to do much at all.

If u collided two massive stars at the speed of light, then something like a Black Hole would happen.

I think the fantasy of wormholes is that they somehow seriously fold space so that distances become less.

This is kind of how I feel, well not the God part, but if it hasn't already happened . . .

We had incredible energies present in the early universe.. why didn't they drive Higgs into such a state and destroy the nascent universe? Or, if you want to rule out the big bang, then how about supernovae? They produce tremendous energies.

If the fabric of our universe is unstable enough to just "unzip" due to particles reaching high energies then my take it that it would have already done so. I would be surprised if it was even possible to do so from within the system, though obviously this is pure speculation.

Have you read Diaspora by Greg Egan? If not, you probably should. That book explores just what you are talking about.

nIt may be that no particle has hit the speed of light inside the universe and that doing so would create something unseen

besides uhm light itself

The whole experiment is a stupid waste. Any educated fool can find another smaller energy level or smash things up. Its become a religion to atheists to try to prove that God didn't create the universe. At the core, its nothing but a fool's quest.

:lolwut:

I have never heard that this is meant to disprove God, even though I think God is a crock of shit. This is about furthering our understanding of the Universe as a whole. Because we're trying to figure out The Big Bang or something, we're trying to disprove God? How would anyone know it wasn't God who made The Big Bang (I kinda squirm saying that, because as I said, I think God is a giant crock of shit).

You wanna know what a waste is? All the money Churches collectively receive. Sure they spend some here and there on the community, but spending a small percent on people who actually need it doesn't justify it. Look at Joel Osteen's house.. My grandma was one of the ones who bought into all his shit and regularly sent in "donations".

God exist as a figure to show people the light.

For some this may mean changing their ways' completely.

Repentance, redemption, etc.

I really think the mind is configured in such a way that doing good for other people does good for one's soul.

God is consciousness.

We are conscious.

Many believe we are children of God because if this.

If you choose not to believe that you are of God, you are still playing out the model mentioned above.

So really, if you believe that life isn't what you make it. And that this is all hogwash, you might as well kill yourself.

Or you know, collide hydrogen particles at the speed of light trying to create a new model. One that would make life from death. But life will always come first. It's all around you if you don't believe me. Words do it no justice anyways.
