the media and police and faculty all help putting that kid on blast for the rest of his natural life, and now in media res he's being given opportunities so that he can recover from the firestorm that's been inflicted on him?
that hasn't anything to do with racism nor hypocrisy.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. Unwarranted prejudice? Maybe. Blown out of proportion? 100%.
Even still.

Admittedly I don't know a whole lot about it, but based on the responses that I've read about it, it sounds like the incident was not at all treated the way a proper bomb scare would have been treated.

maybe it's because America seems coldly infatuated with the rest of the world?
Our country loves to stick it's nose where it doesn't belong, but that doesn't really justify the odd infatuation the entire world has with us. There are plenty of countries that have an impact on our daily life we never really give a second thought to or talk about daily.. I dunno if that's really a good thing, but it is what it is.

wait a minute; are you sure it's countries, or just individuals FROM certain countries, that are infatuated with american policies? i'd argue that if your country has the tendency to stick it's nose where it doesn't belong, then why shouldn't individuals be worried?

Arguably an entire country is made up of individuals. Am I saying every last one is weirdly infatuated? No. But the shit is pretty wide spread. Have never heard some African guy talking about his plans to go to Canada and build a life of freedom for himself though.
The second part is just semantics. It doesn't matter what guise they go under, the point is influence, and other countries influence us just like we influence others.

I'm not personally insulting you because you don't share my sick and twisted world perspective (what?). I remember you from quite awhile back. I dunno what happened, but over the last couple of months, you've went from relatively intelligent, to well, this. If it wasn't DXM (which I'll admit was based on you trying to DXM guru me when you obviously didn't know what you were talking about) then it's something else. Every single post you've made that I have noticed over the last couple of months has been loopy as fuck. If you feel the need to reply to my posts, expect more of the same. I'm really not going to waste my time on you. You make totally off the wall, insane sounding arguments that have little to do with anything. I'm just not going to bother. Sorry.

I thought that was kinda clear. It's weird when countries are constantly infatuated with us and focus on us, debate our politics, and generally question the day to day life we have, when we don't reciprocate. It's even weirder when people who claim to hate us, constantly focus on us. It's just odd. The person who says they don't give a shit about America will then go on 10 minute diatribe about how shitty we are. If we don't matter, why the 10 minute speech?

right about now I find it quite serendipitous to see that all of you some-timin',wishy-washy, two-faced, back-stabbin',coniving hypocrites have accumulated here in my midst to persecute my character with such flagrant slanderousity, but I counter-attack by calling it constructive criticism, and all of your negativity has been recycled into motivation, and I am still the American Dream.

American's don't reciprocate? i see plenty of American's talking about other countries affairs, all the time.
also, begging the question; i simply can't answer to your retort.
though i will say that i've seen American's do the same thing you've specified.

Arab kid, at a school, with a ticking box that looked somewhat like a bomb. I can't really blame the school for taking it very seriously, although I don't think he should have been suspended. I also wonder if this was all a setup by perhaps his parents for a lawsuit or fame.
