Another round of problems with treasure coast, got pics

Got another 7 cakes of treasure coast going. I birthed them 9 days ago and there doesn't seem to be any sign of pinning, a few of them are actually starting to turn a light blue, I thought this may be from handling them but I was super careful while handling them. I waited 5 days after full colonization (I know suppose to wait 7 but they were super fast to colonise so I thought 5 would suffice). Dunk for 24 hours and rolled in verm. I'm misting when needed, roughly 5-6 times per day and same with fanning 5-6 times per day. I have proper lighting 6500k on a 12/12 shift. My last grow was about a year ago and my dedication to cannibas has rendered my short term memory to virtually non existent. I'll try post some pics.

5-6 times a day is lot, but if you feel you need to mist that often, that probably means you are being way to tentative about it, and it's drying out. According to RR he designed it so you only need to mist once a day. Twice should be fine if you're misting propperly, once in the morning and once before bed.
Also, don't be afraid to just poke your cakes, get a tactile sense of them. JUST POKE IT.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Ok so, on the 9th day I hadn't seen any pinning, I did remember on one of my last grows I checked under the cakes and there was lots of pins, so I did this and what do you know pins all over the bottoms. I turned the cakes so the pins are facing upwards. I believe this is a humidity issue so I rehydrated the perlite which was super dry and also found out the mrs had the ducted heating on sometimes during the day (duct vent was almost right above the sgfc). So far so good, they have grown a bit more in the last day

I would say more people under mist than over mist. Also that corse verm dosen't hold as much moisture and stick to the cakes as good as fine. For future reference fine grade verm is all around better for cakes, especially for the filter layer, looking forward to seeing some progress, good luck!

Thanks for the info bud, I always thought the verm was to corse and it needed to be finer.
I'm going to try a bulk substrate for my next grow anyway, I'm a bit over cakes.

I hear that, cakes are a lot of work and I'm a lazy guy myself

I recommend not flipping the cakes. The pins are growing at the bottom because thats where the water and the best microclimate are. Leave then as is.

Shit I already flipped them a couple of days ago, they seem to be doing ok.
If I put them back again the pressure might break or bruise them.
Should i leave them as is, facing upwards? They're getting bigger day by day.
I also just read that flipping the cakes may cause them to abort, is this true?

You already flipped em so leave it. But in the future leave em alone. Mushies grow where they want to. People meddling with them is what fucks em up.
Also yes flipping can cause aborts, the water supply that caused them to form at the bottom starts to pull back down and away. If the pinset is large there may not be enough water for them all to grow.
