-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

I used to listen to that, it's pretty good. Close to the Edge is my fav 70s prog album though.

That is the one Yes album I downloaded, have yet to fully listen to it yet though.
They just are a bit to weird for me, I have never been able to get into any of their stuff yet
Remember the future is pretty trippy but also pretty mellow and orchestral at times, very great listen IMO. The 2 tracks flow very well.

Yeah, I like Yes more for the same reasons you don't. But really only Close to the Edge, and a few other tracks here and there. I never listened to any other Nectar though.

A tab in the ocean is pretty rad too, I think I prefer remember the future though as it is a well completed concept album.
A tab in the ocean is more psych space rock type stuff I believe.
Been meaning to try and get into Yes more but I have so much other music I need to immerse myself in still

I listened to Nectar in my prog phase in my late teens. Yeah, Yes for me really nail it on that album, it has a good balance of Euphoria and insanity.
Close to the Edge featured prominently in my childhood, so I get some extra nostalgic chemicals released whenever I hear it. I didn't grow up in the 70s, Dad just played that record a lot when I was young. Same with some Genesis and Bob Marley.

You gotta get into Yes OP. Fucking amazing band; I know how much you appreciate musicianship and they are all easily some of the most talented musicians of their genre/era. All their albums from The Yes Album through Going for the One are pure gold
On topic, Nektar is cool too, but I haven't listened to them since I first got into prog back in high school.
