And it is scary yet opens your mind to the possibility of other Dimensions beyond this one.
Have not attempted a breakthru yet, Im just not ready for that kind of intensity yet

For real.. I didn't know what I was getting into when I loaded a bowl of AT LEAST 80mg. That was in March of 2012 in believe. Took it all in one hit.
Completely changed my views of life and how reality works.
Hope one day I can somehow get myself to do a breakthrough dose again.. But idk as of right now. Very tough to dive into it especially now that I know what can happen.
Most terrifying yet the most rewarding experience of my entire life hands down.
PS I voted no.

i never thought it was scary. all of my experiences were really cool, and almost all of them were breakthroughs. but it's not something i take lightly. it's been a few years since i smoked it.

I did, a few times. Have to say that I was disappointed, far from overwhelmed. Was a lot stronger visually than any other psychedelic I have ever taken, impossible to think anything at all, but just kind... meh... I don't know... boring? Like, I feel like I could just as easily have looked through a kaleidoscope or something if I had wanted to see that. And the body sensation was a little unsettling. I don't take psychedelics just see "see crazy stuff". I like to be able to contemplate, to have my headspace changed, to help me think about ideas from new angles. And I seriously doubt it allows you "see other dimensions" or anything of the sort regardless of how much you smoke. Going into it with preconceived notions of how it was affecting my consciousness via neurochemical processes probably has something to do with that. Don't have a mg scale, no idea how much I smoked.

You visit the other dimensions more easily with ayahuasca
A big dose of aya is apparently similar to a high intensity smoked DMT trip that lasts for 4-8 hours and has its own unique effects due to the MAOI

It cannot be explained in any human language
I guess a good way to put it would be complete obliteration of reality
I've never experienced it but no doubt it is possible, the problem is it's easy to waste DMT by not smoking it correctly

i don't have any evidence to make any sort of hard ontological claim, but it certainly feels like you go somewhere, and it certainly feels like you interact with beings that aren't you. that's really about as far as i would take it. i know the popular theory is that you're dealing with your own mind, but there isn't any evidence that supports that claim and i am inclined to believe that more is happening than that. just my intuition though.
aya was a lot different for me. very, very emotional and very, very scary at points. the parts that were cool were indescribably cool though. it took a good two years to really integrate my experience; it was a doozy. big dose, crazy ass group and some downright weird shit happening that i have no explanation for. i'm grateful for having had the experience even though it raised some difficult questions for me.

When I smoked DMT it was really crazy. I can't remember much from the trip however. Really disturbing experience but it made sense to me and it was amazing and profound

when most people take a breakthrough dose, they seem to all be taken to another place and interact with beings. it's very distinct and the experiences seem to all have a lot of common themes in them. i'm not one to buy into hippy bullshit, but on the real, it's seriously weird.

One time I was on 7 grams of mushrooms, a hit of strong LSD, and I smoked a fairly large looking portion of DMT. I could not see anything in front of me, everything was just swimming colors and geometric patterns morphing into each other rapidly and my mind trying to make shapes out of it all but they would melt away as soon as they formed into anything remotely recognizable as I was zooming zooming zooming through a void of all these weird sensations but when I came out of it I was just like, eh, that was intense, but it was pretty much exactly what I expected. and all I could think was, well, that was basically just what happens when you take an extremely large dose of the neurotransmitter that regulates your everyday perceptual experience: your perceptual experience gets scrambled to the point where, as you said, there are NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT.

When I smoked it I didn't have enough to break through but it sent me for quite a whirl, the world began swaying and dissolving into fractals within a minute, I became very light-headed and felt a distinct sensation of floating out of my body, at that point all I could do was lean back in the seat and stare at the sky until I started to come down
It was amazing

I don't buy it for a second. I think when people take a certain dose LOWER than what I took, the DMT binding with 5HT2a receptors increases the frequency of activation of neurons connecting the hippocampus to the visual cortex, resulting in the injection of "noise". the rendering of visual output involves a process wherein visual input is channeled through stored episodic memory in the hippocampus and cerebellum, both of which undergo signal distortion when DMT binds to serotonin and dopamine (respectively). The visual output is thus a "mixed bag" of visual input data + noisy episodic (the ratio is dose dependent) memory data. Some of that episodic memory data includes memory about figures of people and things, but the distortion and frequency of activation is so high that the figures which are rendered do not resemble anything which has actually been experienced by the drug user during his or her life; thus they come across as "alien" or "angelic" or "demonic" (or whatever). With a high enough dose, the noise is so loud that you don't perceptually experience any of the visual input data. If you take a high enough dose, you experience no such beings, as I did not, you simply experience colors and shapes and so forth.
That is my humble opinion.

that's all biology. it doesn't explain the experience. i don't claim to know anything about it, but having had the experience i doesn't seem like i'm dealing with my own mind. it would be interesting for you to have a breakthrough and report back to us.
