All-nighter on modafinil?
    #22267813 - 09/21/15 12:51 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Have any of you ever done this?  and what were your experiences?

I've been swamped with school and work and need some time to study.  I woke up in the afternoon today(or yesterday) so I've been up for ~10 hours.  Would it be a terrible idea for me to take 200 mgs of modafinil, study at a coffeeshop tonight,
and then go take a test at school sometime around 8 or 9?(The test isn't mandatory.  It's for an online class, and if I feel too tired, I can take it the next day.)

etizolam is the worst thing to take when studying. I know this from experience. I fucking got a C+ on a god damn easy test because I was fucked up on etizolam.

It's legit the anti-study aide. You will need to drink a lot of coffee to counter the effects.

Bodhi's idea sounds best. Taking tests while tired isn't the best thing to do, especially if you can avoid it!

But hypothetically yes taken at the right time modafinil will keep you up all night.

People who have to take drugs to pull an all-nighter are lucky as hell. I have to take meds just so I don't do it 3-4 times a week.

Still no, I don't really think it's the greatest idea. We need sleep to basically clean up our brains and get us firing on all cylinders. It really doesn't matter how potent whatever stimulant take is, it's no substitute for the restorative properties of actual sleep. Meth can keep you awake for days, but when you start passing the numbers of the usual wake cycle, your mind starts to degrade.

Sleep deprivation takes a HUGE toll on the brain. Sleep deprivation can literally dry someone insane, even if it's not permanent (going away after a good rest).

Pulling all nighters is bad for your brain
