R. cyanoxantha
    #22263941 - 09/20/15 09:31 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Good day,

I think I found a couple of R. cyanoxantha in a public park under a Birch tree in Denmark. Could anyone having more experience with this genus confirm if they’re indeed R. cyanoxantha.

The gills seem flexible (i.e., they do not brake if touch/graze against with a finger) and the cap is half peeling. The largest specimen here is almost 10 cm.

The pictures below were made with my cell phone; thus, they may not be good enough for proper identification (if that’s the case, let me know – I can do better shots). I could also make the standard id request (if this is not enough for id).

Cheers

That's probably because it is clear from the pics, and the species name if you google it. Russula. Also anyone that with the ability to answer is question would know what he means lol.
I'm guessing most people here don't have that much experience with eating Russula's because they are so hard to ID.

Yeah well you're speculating that I don't know how to use google, so you're guess isn't worth very much.
