new to growing!
    #22263537 - 09/20/15 05:43 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

this is my 1st time growing ethno. stuff, iam familiar with mushroom cultivation.

so my plan is to grow Trichocereus peruvians and reed canary grass (phalaris arundinacea) as a source for dmt.

before asking, i dont have any other source for dmt (only few seeds of psychotria viridis and i read that they are so hard to grow) so dont tell me to look for acacias in my country or order some MHRB or ACRB or get yourself a p.viridis leaf.

so regarding the phalaris, what is the best pot to use (size and shape)? and how many seeds per pot?

iam planing on using this soil mix:

1 part compost and sand
1 part perlite or verm
1 part peatmoss

is it a good mix? if not what else should i consider?

ill plant at least 20 - 30 seeds to make sure that i get a good amount for extraction.

That soil mix should work fine for the grass but will likely need more sand for the trichs.

Youll never grow enough grass for an extraction in pots, plant a field.

What's the face palm for?
If you do 30 pots maybe. But still, why wouldn't you just plant a whole garden with grass? Pots seems silly to me.

How many watts per square foot will you have? Are they CFL bulbs?

Be careful! Some Arundinacea can contain gramine in high
concentrations. Gramine can be a lethal neurotoxin
and the worst part is that it is an indole alkaloid.

Since it is an indole, just like tryptamines,  you
WILL extract it with the DMT.

Read this. It's a wiki article but it's pretty spot on.

I would do it still, but do a lot of research on cleansing it
of its gramine before you consume anything you extract.

By indirect sunlight + artificial I assume you mean a room with windows and ceiling lights. That's not enough light at all. I mean you can probably have stuff survive in that but it won't thrive. Even with 30 pots I'm not even a little convinced you'll be able to grow enough grass to extract in a spare bedroom. The cactus will do ok but still same answer, it won't get very big and it won't thrive. You need minimum 50w of light per square foot if you wanna do any sort of real growing.

Well IMHO you need to look for acacias in your country or order some MHRB or ACRB or get yourself a p.viridis leaf.
