pan cyan agar clone LC G2G transfer

A very good evening to everybody!
I'm working on an epic pan cyan grow, I started with inoculating agar plates with a print of Tasmania. Then I transferred them to new plates and inoculated some grain jars
and spawned some of the jars to bulk & cased then put into the fruiting chamber. . One of the first shroom to fruit was a fattie and became my first clone. After a couple of transfers some are ready to use. The jars were inoculated with the clone dishes 2 days ago, I'll shake them tonight. a few days ago I also transferred wbs from a master jar to 3 new jars of rye. and for giggles I dropped a strand into a liquid culture and so far so good. A tiny cake. 3.5 days into the spawn run. My outdoor tub
I hope you enjoyed my pictures I'll keep you updated as it all progresses.

I always use chopped straw, manure and gypsum for both cube and pans.
Here are some more pictures of colonized jars of pan that you can really see the beautiful growth patterns. I think using manure in my agar may be one of the reasons the jars look so nice. These are half gallon jars not quart.

Some of my manure agar plates.

I soak composted manure in water strain out any sticks but leave some of the silt add your favorite agar mix to it and stir until there's no lumps then heat it slowly until it's starts to get hot then keep the silt stirred before you pour.

I hope everybody had a merry christmas and a happy new year, without going into any details I'm going to pick up like I wasn't gone for a few months if that's okay.
The first week of December I started new jars with agar made from my cloned mushroom which took about 3.5 weeks to colonize. .
On the 29th of december I lined my first big tub with half a black trash bag and dusted the bottom with a little substrate broke up a half gallon jar of spawn evenly over the bottom, covered it with substrate, misted it then cover it leaving a small hole in the bottom where I can watch it grow.

The first tub colonized in 4 days I cased it a couple of days ago which was about 6 days into the spawn run.

Yesterday the other 4 large tubs were ready to be cased which makes 5 large tubs total.

The smaller tubs are lined with a white trash bag cut in half and 3 of those are colonized and cased bringing the total to 8 tubs that are ready to fruit.
 .

Good morning everybody, this morning a few of the tubs have gone thru the casing, I've patched a couple of them and then misted them down again. Were they not getting enough fae?
I didn't get a chance to case the smallest cake last night I covered him with the bottom part of his tub.

G'morning.
Don't patch them, leave them be & let it rock. You want your casing 30-40% colonized anyway. && stop misting them.

I made a huge compost from straw, manure, vermiculite, gypsum and water that I've tended over the course of a couple of years in giant plastic tubs and let it dry out.

I added equal amounts of vermiculite to the mix plus a pinch more gypsum mixed it all up really good and took out about a quarter of it and put it aside. I have a bucket of black cow chunks sitting outside that collects rain water and I stir it up sift it out and wet down the mix until it's drippy then I mix in the rest of the dry ingredients to get it to field capacity then I put into cooking bags & pop it into a giant tortilla warmer and heat it to 140-145 for one hour. I use manure water for all my substrates.

Good morning shroomers, my tubs are still colonizing up the casing, they look like they are not getting enough fae or something, you can see the one's that haven't been patched are almost white again. Any suggestions? One of the tubs I patched yesterday has gone through the casing again the other not so much.

Another one of my large tubs was ready to case this morning along with the small and medium one that was ready yesterday.

This is one of the tester jars made from the liquid culture, I shook it last night for second time since it was inoculated 2 weeks ago, you can't see that it wasn't completely colonized on the back side before I shook it .

Why are you stuffing the bottom holes with tyvek? I've never seen that before, and not sure if that would keep the humidity levels high enough. But hey, if it works, then I may just have to give it a try myself.

My tubs keep colonizing the casing without fruiting, I patched the casing but it keeps doing this, I don't see any pins, does anybody with experience with this have any suggestions.

Stop patching it. It doesn't understand and wants more fresh air at the surface IMO.
Wait for someone like Fantastic Fox though.

I'd mist that casing layer a bit more often, the sgfc/hybrid tub gives tons of fae but also dries up your sub surface a bit quick, and pans love a good moist surface IME

I was told to quit misting or I think I was, I don't want to mist now since there are a few pins lurking about.

aim for their feet if you're worried "dry caps wet feet", but in a chamber like that with tons of FAE chances are you wont fuck them up by misting either way. some use a syringe to just water the casing layer and not the mushrooms but thats kinda finicky at time consuming in a whole tub, just get your mister down low and try to moisten the sub without splashing too much on the pan caps.

The half gallon jar of wbs that I inoculated with the liquid culture and shook was fully colonized and I used it for a grain to grain transfer to 4 more half gallon jars of wbs and a quart jar and whatever size that little one is of rye.

I have a new tub that was spawned on the 24 of January and has looked ready for a couple of days, I'm waiting a few more days at least before I case it.

Here an agar dish that I used to make my liquid culture that has grown back over the dish, I thought it looked pretty cool some think that pan doesn't branch out like this.

My lesson is not case the tub too early and it won't go through the casing so quickly and to listen when I'm told not to patch it.
