I currently have an aluminum baking pan with colonized coir/verm ready to fruit its covered with aluminum foil. I bought a tub and am wondering if its better to do a SGFC or a monotub design. I plan to just set the tray in the tub, If I do a SGFC obviously the tray will set on top of the perlite, if I do a monotub should I just set the tray in or should I surround the tray with field cap capacity coir, its been a while and I'm wondering which is best. I chose the tray because I didn't have enough spawn for the entire bottom of the FC. any advise greatly appreciated.

SGFC. no need in turning that into a mono design unless your gonna do a mono in it. waste of space otherwise. and if you only have one tray in there it will have trouble keeping the humidity up and itll dry out

Are there air holes in that fruiting chamber? I don't see air holes.

I have a couple of those aluminum pans. Mine came with plastic domes. It is too bad yours didn't. The domes make sgfc and monotubs unnecessary when fruiting the colonized pans.
I think there is a thread that deals with the matter of fruiting these pans with domes.
