Favorite Type of Whole Oats

Sup guys, I'm gonna head out to the feed store when I get out of work this afternoon. I was just wondering, what's your favorite type of whole oats to get? I'm sure there's lots of different types. I've heard that race horse oats are the best variety to work with. I hope these bags aren't too expensive, I've only worked with WBS so far, and a 20 pound bag was like 9 bucks.

50lbs of whole oats for 15 here, Producers Pride.. whatever that means. It didn't specify for race horse, or anything. I figure whole grain oats are going to all be about the same when you get down to it.

If you tell the oats they they're going to be fed to really fast horses maybe it grows better. I use producers pride. It has tiny amounts of milo and straw in it but I leave all that in.

Just tell them you want whole oats & they'll grab you a bag or tell you where they are.

These are good. Chances are, whatever you go will only carry one brand.

I'd just be looking for ones with no broken grains. My pet shop now has grains in clear bags used to be brown. I guess they buy big 25kg sacks and fill them into smaller ones. So as the grains settle out the first bag off the top is usually the best with few broken grains or stones or other crap. So now I go in and browse through all the bags to find the best.
