What is the purpose of it all? (Psychedelics)
    #22259017 - 09/19/15 05:13 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

I have now stopped taking psychedelics for the long-term because of my HPPD.
But that still doesn't mean I've lost interest in the psychedelic experience and the wisdom that could be gathered from it.

But I've left it's dimension with more questions than answers:
Why do these mushrooms containing this drug grow from the ground?
Are the mushrooms a portal allowing you to glimpse into a/the divine hypercomplex dimension that is normally beyond human conception; or is it still when the drugs curtain is removed just a drug disrupting the brain; no more different than other drugs such as alcohol and weed?
What if we view all these natural drugs as medicines to treat certain conditions; then what condition(s) is psilocybin meant to treat?
Is there and if so what is the pattern of the insights people get from it's use?
What even IS the psychedelic experience? (I.E what exactly is it doing to consciousness in the first place?)

Discuss how you see fit.

I guess the mushrooms have evolved alongside us and our relationship to them is based on a long history of consumption, and other mammals.

Mushrooms by design are decaying agents meant to aid in the death half of the cycle back into life. I believe that their psychedelic nature is for the same reason. In my experience acceptance of death and finite mortality among with ego death back up my theory. These are things that became apparent on high enough doses for me.

So you can pick them. They are fruit, vegetation, gifts from the body of the Goddess, Earth to help you, me others explore her deeper mysteries. They also grown on or near shit or dung. This is to show you that lowliness does not = 'impure'. That to be alive, human, animal, nature , is to understand that all is interdependent. manure enriches the soil. Only modern humans who have lost contact with a deeper understanding of our connection with nature want to flush shit away in disgust, and not realize that it is enriching for the earth. In permaculture they know different

Why do many people assume that the 'reality' they call 'sober' is not also a reality that is full of hallucination mindcontroled by the State mindcontrollers? I am saying it very is. Why else are there millions of VERY unhappy people trying to heal their desperation with psychiatric medication and consumerism? It is because we are being played by very control-freaky people with lots of money to experiment with us. Read up on Edward Bernays. So how you think and what you think may not be your thinking but thinking implanted in you by the culture. THAT becomes your identity. IMAGINE! You become this anxious little conformist consumer with a reduced existence who doesn't even realize how shit it all is. And if you DO feel that things aint right, the only option is to go to the culture's 'mind experts', they call you 'mentally ill' and then push drugs on you that are supposed to bring about 'chemical balance'. Now not many question this reality, but psychedelics can--when taken in right set and setting totally blow all this false shit away and you are suddenly magically reconnected with wildness. With the real. You are in ecstasy. The very term means 'ec'--away from 'stasis' stoppage/arrested growth, standing still You are liberated from your ordinary self. Does this mean that 'ordinary' is bad? No. These experience should enrich your deeper understanding of so-called ordinary.
For example: we cannot be ecstatic ALL the time otherwise that becomes static. Get me. If say you are happy all the time, or sad all the time, or any emotion all the time--that idea is static. Life is change. Everything is changing changing all the time. Look at those clouds change shape as the float by. So ecstasy is the plunge into the mysteries of this and when you come-down you must integrate this to feel the aliveness of 'ordinary' life which wehn opened up to is changing all the time from one moment to the next, one feeling to the next

The main condition is our sense of separation from our bodies, senses, feelings and emotions, thinking, and others, including other species, and the whole of the natural world. THAT sense of separation, dissociation is the roots of dis-ease.

I am sharing them with you

First look see what culture does to consciousness. it presses it down. All the terms we use to describe psychological distress have 'press' in them 'oppression', 'depression' 'suppression', 'repression', 'pressure' This mechanistic culture PRESSES you into a reduced identity/persona/mask. In the age of religion it did the same. You were drilled to think of yourself as this God-made soul who comes from nothing, is born in sin and into a fallen nature, and if you didn't behave and follow their authority you would get everlasting damnation of hell. Now THAt is being pressed down right?
NOW, in this age of scientism you are to think of yourself as a mechanical robot without freewill, or even consciousness, certainly no spirit, 'living' in a dead environment, and your only purpose is to produce, and consume, and fight in wars if you happen to be in a country that demands that. is this not the epitome of being pressed down into a straightjacket or what? IF you naturally are not happy with this shituation you will be classed as 'mentally ill' and told you have a chemical imbalance

So if you have had a thought about that evil shit. Understood in the context of psychedelics which those evil paradgims have prohibited (and still do!!) then we can see that psychedelics help UNDO that straightjacket. They liberate us from the 'normal world' and the 'ordinary self'
