No threads on legacy of the void yet?

The final expansion for the starcraft II trilogy has a release date now. 11-10-15 been looking forward to this. I haven't prepurchased and played the 3 prologue missions, but I have been practicing with protoss.
i'm not very good yet because i'm terrible on a keyboard even with the grid layout. I'm getting faster a little each time but I have a ways to go. I have to work on my APM before I cant start developing my own strategies.

I'll get it when the price drops. Starcraft 2 is dead. Takes me 10-15 minutes to find a co op match. Maybe this expansion will bring back old players.

i play a little but it seems like unless i am intense and caffeinated i get get rolled.
i think the game is going to be good once they get it balanced, i know a lot of people are bitching about some of the macro changes and now that they are changed back but hey that is what beta is all about.
the archon stuff seems neat but a little fragmenting and confusing when it really is a 1v1 game.

I actually haven't really done any reading on LotV yet, I was looking forward to the campaign, I assumed co-op would be the same as always

I read some of the changes.
In a way it sounds like they might be dumbing it down a bit to make it more attractive to play, more MOBA-like (I'm not moba prejudiced, I love LoL.)
Zerg - Lurkers are back fuckin finally, and here is some roach morph that shoots forcefield breaking mortals. Sounds micro-intensive as fuck, but it might be nice against getting soul train, 8gates, and all that fun stuff.
Game will start with 12 workers, which again I find odd. Seems like it will make it even harder to punish fast expands. Proxies will be very late, no early pools. More n00b friendly, but I like few minutes of cozy game to get warmed up and the strategic diversity even if cheese is the majority of that diversity.
Protoss has some kind of charge up AOE frostnova spellcaster thing, forget what the other unit was. Tempest rework.
Terran I forgot. Some sort of melee unit that's supposed to shit on ling-bling and maybe chargelots. Some other unit too. Seige tanks can be dropped in seige mode, cool change. Shoud open up some cool terain usage.
As for how to get your APM up. Practice vs elite computer. One-base every game. Toss, 4gate, terran 3-rax, zerg 14/14, and focus on spending all your money while microing. Once you have that, go ahead and go up to two bases, 8gate, 2 base lair with macrohatch, do the same shit, spend your money and attack.
I thought heart of the swarm was a downgrade from wings in terms of competitive ballance. I'd rather see marine-tank than biomine. Since toss just wasn't annoying enough, they added oracles to singlehandedly murder dozens of workers if you aren't prepared. Only good thing was a few QOL buffs to zerg, like easier spore colonies and faster base overlord speed. Muta changes and boost, not sure about.
Oh right, and the mothership core... almost impossible to punish fast expanding... Out of position on the map, NP, teleport your whole army home Need highground vision for a blink all in, NP, you don't need a robo bro.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."

I guess they are changing it more than I thought, the reason i'm so slow on the keyboard is because I usually have to look at it when typing or I tend to hit the wrong key. I'm actually no faster on the key board than I am clicking the buttons in the action panel in the bottom right. I just need to practice. I keep re-watching tutorials on protoss which really helps to teach me the basics, I just need to practice without looking down.
The videos are old so it's missing some changes to the game.

Starting off with 12 workers kind of of makes those videos irrelevant but they will help to get my apm up for now.

Now you have to macro while pairing harvesters on the close mineral patches... Bullshit.
I learned to touchtype by talking shit in counter-strike. You had to stop moving to type sooo, I got really fast at typing Dunno if that strategy would work for you. At least you'd learn where the F-key was.

I enjoyed SC2 vanilla but quit because the game was stressful AF. All about macroing and microing, felt like it was a chore more than a fun game.

just picked it up, want to finish the campaign. had to knock it down to hard, somehow thought i would enjoy brutal, im not that good
feeling like i am going to try and start getting ladder going again, hots seemed pointless once legacy beta happened and i didnt even beta. seems like they broken the leagues down well and what not.
im sure the first 2 months will be interesting patch wise.

I've done the prologue and some of the regular campaign but I need some sleep for work tomorrow, I'm liking it so far.

should have said i was redoing WoL and HotS on brutal, decided i needed a hard run through first, too frustrating and my micro could use some love.
agreed enjoying it so far, had to not watch all the campaign streams, wanted it not spoiled.
started getting used to the new mechanics vs AI right now, seems nice, like you always have money vs before having to try and be greedy.

Did they stick with that 12 worker start? That sounded like it was just going to shift the meta even more towards greedy macro cheese. I liked that shit like proxy 10gates, 10pools, and the potential of 11/11 2rax forced people to consider the risks of greedy builds, and encouraged good scouting in the early game.
What is there to even worked scout anymore. Holding any 2rax should be no problem, going greedy hatch first, no more early cheese in pvp or zvz. You could probably hold any 2rax going like 16/16/16 hatch gas pool now. Just sounds boring. Maybe the new units will make things interesting in different ways though.

i used to be a chronic SC2 addict, for years and years and years in WoL & HotS. the place i've been living for the past 15 months has no real internet and as a result (alongside my shit computer) i haven't played any Sc2.
i miss it in my life. i'm hoping there's a healthy online community (at least in 1v1) for me to return to when i make my resurgence
