Whoever doesn't have a garden, make a garden. It's so worth it. It's delicious and it'll save you cash. 150$ and counting. I got a hell of lot more coming. Maybe another 150
I have too many tomatoes... They are fucking delicious. Especially my cherry tomatoes. I can eat them like M&Ms
I have dried some basil, dill, cilantro, parsley, chives, oregano, sage and somthing else I'm not sure of its name
The green peppers I grow are bigger than those I buy at the store.... Take a look

Do get a garden

I have a garden, it generally does pretty well, but after planting green peppers year after year and failing I have given up on them. It must be something with my soil? I can grow the shit out of tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and zucchinis though.
And I agree with you---nothing like going to your garden and chowing down on 20-30 cherry tomatoes. You will never eat a sweeter tomato than fresh out of your garden!

OMG A PALTAL HAND! GUYS WE'RE GETTING CLOSE, SOON WE'LL SEE THE REST OF HIM!
Gardens are great, in the long run I'm not sure how much they really "save" you (it takes a lot of upkeep to get one to be a good producer) but it's always much more fresh and delicious tasting.
Why green though? Why not just wait a little longer and let it develop it's full taste potential?

I've harvested at least 40 lbs of tomatoes, (cherry, roma, big boy), 20 lbs of cukes, and 10 pf bell pepper. Squash is on it's way....

So do I.. I grew strawberries for 2 years and I don't think I even ever got a pound of them. I can't grow tomatoes because of MOTHER FUCKING STINK BUGS. They are insanely hard to get rid of once they're there and you'll very likely never catch them before they establish a presence. They don't just eat one fruit here and one fruit there, they spread like locusts and suck the juice out of the tomato and in the process inject something into it that makes it pretty much inedible. They look like that on the outside and never really ripen and the inside turns green and sometimes starts to rot. I also cannot grow squash because SVB are extremely prevalent here. Another pest that once it's shown it's face it's pretty much too late. Have tried every trick in the book to salvage the plants and nothing works.

Where are you? Are you talking about the invasive brown stink bug that is taming over the eastern US?

Believe it's the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug. I'm in Texas. The first year I used pesticides out the ass and hand picked the plants daily, but once a single pair gets in there, it's pretty much over. I tried to grow tomatoes for 2 years. I only got a handful out of it. I wanted a lot and prepared for a lot, I was ready to start making tons of stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce and everything, but the crops are always destroyed before they can get close to ripening. Two years I've tried every single "treatment" I've ever read about and they still flourish. I don't even bother anymore. When I actually do get the garden going, I just focus on crops I know I can grow. Corn, Okra, Cucumbers, Green Beans, Peppers etc.
Scratch that. Not the Marmorated, it's the leaf footed one.
 These fuckers.
It's been awhile since I've dealt with them so memory was kinda fuzzy but Googling Texas stink bug brought it back.

You are that shit fucking stinks. I got their stupid stink on me daily from handpicking all those fuckers off. You should try smelling a gallon jug of soapy water with about 40 dead ones in it..
