ID Large polypore-WA

Habitat:
Found in recently mulched area of a park. Near a few large old trees.

Gills:
No gills, just pores.

Stem:
Large, didn't have anything to measure with but small water bottle sized at least.

Cap:
Large, round, with undulations

Spore print color:
No print availible.

Bruising:No bruising noticed.

Other information:
No real smell noticed but this is probably one of the largest mushrooms I have come across yet.





I wear a 9 and 1/2 shoe to give some sense of scale.

There were about six or seven of these beasts in the area too.
I like finding huge ones like that.

What kind of trees are they growing under? They sometimes get kinda gross when they get too big IMO

If I remember correctly oak or some other large leafy tree. There were growing in the beauty bark mulch that had been put out.
So these are edible then?

Looks like a Bolete to me
Maybe something like Boletus regineus?

Regineus looks a bit off color-wise. The edulis pics I'm finding online look a lot closer. I'm still not great with non-actives.

I keep meaning to start asking what stuff I can eat. I go hunting a lot and I know I find stuff that looks and smells edible( like store bought mushrooms smell) I have a ton of pics to upload still.

I'm just glad the season is starting.
