Habitat: Found in recently mulched area of a park. Near a few large old trees.
Gills: No gills, just pores.
Stem: Large, didn't have anything to measure with but small water bottle sized at least.
Cap: Large, round, with undulations
Spore print color: No print availible.
Bruising:No bruising noticed.
Other information: No real smell noticed but this is probably one of the largest mushrooms I have come across yet.

I wear a 9 and 1/2 shoe to give some sense of scale.

There were about six or seven of these beasts in the area too. I like finding huge ones like that.

If I remember correctly oak or some other large leafy tree. There were growing in the beauty bark mulch that had been put out. So these are edible then?

Regineus looks a bit off color-wise. The edulis pics I'm finding online look a lot closer. I'm still not great with non-actives.
I keep meaning to start asking what stuff I can eat. I go hunting a lot and I know I find stuff that looks and smells edible( like store bought mushrooms smell) I have a ton of pics to upload still.
I'm just glad the season is starting.
