Anybody use that? Want to use it but couldn't afford It?

If so, :pm: me..I'm gonna hide this thread since I don't really follow hockey

No points in 5 games ties his worst streak ever. Didn't get a shot on goal till the 3rd game.

On the other hand, fantasy advisors say now is the time to trade for him.

Montreal is 9-0 with all wins in regulation. There goal differential is already +23. Toronto out shot Montreal 43 to 23 and lost. Price is incredible. Very impressive but keep in mind this is October not May.

A Canadian team has to win some time though. I would prefer it was Montreal or Toronto, the Canadians for their skill and the Leafs for the silliness factor (richest NHL franchise and never wins). I actually hate all other Canadian teams, unless they bring back the Nordiques. Don't take it personally, I hate almost all the American teams.

A Montreal-Chicago final would be great.

Can't wait for DEC 3rd, when the Caps play the Habs. We'll give them a mark to put in their L column. The Caps have lost one game this year, and both O.V. and Backstrom did not play in it. Those habs can beat up on the leafs, Ottawa, and Boston, but when they start playing better teams, they'll be put in their place. They beat the Rangers, and Detroit(who aren't exactly playing they're best hockey without Datsuk) and that's it.

Hawks beat Anaheim 1-0 after beating Tampa 1-0. Both goals were scored about 1 minute into overtime by Jonathon Toews. Love this 3 on 3 rule. Two consecutive shutouts for Corey Crawford, and 5 wins in a row for Chicago.

You guys have a pretty easy November coming up brian. You play the kings, blues, flames, oilers, and devils twice each. Gonna pad that record for sure.

They rode him in hard! With his arm extended like that he didn't stand a chance. At first i was thinking it was something muscular..

That black and blue game must have been awesome tonight. I turned it on and it was 3-1 hawks then the blues came back with 4 straight goals to win in OT!

I'm excited about the new overtime rules.. as a Red Wings fan i gotta say they should have way better luck this year in that department.

Glad to see they snapped that skid they were on and beat the Sens and the Bolts.

You guys see Stamkos giving Larkin the business?

Too bad about Connor McDavid. At least the young heal fast.

Despite the Hawks collapse vs St.Louis, there was some good news. The Erie county NY prosecutor announced there will be no charges filed against Patrick Kane.

Yeah, should be!

Wings and Leafs tonight!

Check out this pure Michigan goal! DeKyser to Larkin to Abdokader to Larkin! Excellent bounce pass from Danny D out of the defensive zone

This right here is one reason why I'm glad I live where with an excellent organization that maximzes its home town home grown talent.

Kane is lucky that this chick and her mom are complete idiots. Not sure if any of the specifics have been posted here, but it's public and clear as can be now this chick was full of shit. The mom reported that the rape kit evidence bag that was opened found it's way on her porch. Failed attempt on their part to discredit the actual evidence which exonerates Kane by planting this themselves. Their lawyer dropped them the next day, and pulling this stunt took the possibility of getting any money out of this out of the equation.

It's a good rookie year but I'm not even sure they were drafted. McDavid and Eichel got all the hype, and I think they will be great, but as of last night, Panarin on the Hawks is the rookie scoring leader. Patrick Kane has Panarin  and a "rookie" big Russian center on the 2nd line and the first line has another Russian "rookie" playing with Toews and Hossa.

There are 3 great leagues in Europe: Russian, Eastern European and Scandinavian. I believe the NHL draft only comes out of U.S. colleges and the (mostly) Canadian minors. This is the first year in history, that Canadians are not a majority in the NHL. I think this has little to do with Americans, and mostly the result of Europeans who I think all come over as free agents. It's just like the Latin Americans in Baseball. They're all free agents, and can be signed by anyone.

Good point. Alot of these "rookies" have been professionals playing with grown men for a number of years now. I've never really given it any thought but you are right, these europeans aren't being drafted

Yes, we generally go for the ones that are fairly young (mainly because you can pick up good talent without using up much cap space), but they usually have a couple more years competing against superior competition compared to drafted players.

To a lesser extent the NBA is also acquiring overseas talent as free agents.

In baseball, nearly every team likes to keep a veteran or coach around that is a native Spanish speaker.

Last night after the Blackhawks win, Pinarin was voted the #1 star of the game but Kane went out on the ice for the media interview because of the language issue. One of the other 2 Russians the Hawks picked up is a little older and decent in English. When the assistant coach is telling them strategy for key late game situations, he translates to the other two.

Yea that's how semin was for the caps, it took him forever to learn English. O.V. was pissed at him for not taking the time to learn the language.
