How is my first tub going? I fruited before 100% colonization, beacuse i thought/ was afraid that it would be cantamd.I am assuming this is why i have a shitty pinset and tiny shrooms. There is a casting layer.

Lack of water maybe? Dry top layer?

Does it stink? Looks like it would stink.
What's going on with your hole configuration?
Remove the tape holding the liner to the tub, that's only to keep it in place while spawning.

Good job for getting it that far. At least you'll get a few shrooms to sample.
Don't fear contams. As long as you have pasteurised and kept things clean (you should never have to open the tub until you've had the first flush), you'll be fine.
I would not pull off polyfill. I regard it as a contam barrier. Just keep it light and fluffy on the top holes and that's plenty FAE.

Opening the tub before the first flush is fine I open mine every day pretty much lol airborne contams aren't going to do anything...you fruited in wide open air the polyfil isn't there to stop contams...it stops bugs more than anything! Just loosen it don't take it all the way out yet.

Umm pretty much everthing you said is wrong. Opening the tub to take pics or mist is fine. Contams can pop up at all times, high FAE is your best defense against contams like pseudomonias, cobweb, pin molds, or white molds that can take over or set in during fruiting. Light and fluffy polyfil will be as much a deterrent to mold spores as a chainlink fence is to a mosquito. Fruiting is not a sterile process and neither is spawning. That's why good FAE is important.
OP your FAE appears poor and the sub looks stressed. Probably bacterial. Dial in the top holes looser and leave it be, no misting.

Yeah im pretty sure there is a contamination in there. I added loosened the polyfill up. I already assumed it had a contam when i put it into fruiting.
Thanks for all the tips! ill update in a couple days and let you guys know how its going

It works for me, that's all. When I opened my first monotub to spray, I got trich. I didnt open this one and it worked brilliantly. Also found that once "dialed in" I had no great need to mist anyway. A false positive maybe, but I personally did better by not opening the tub.
I also keep a "DO NOT OPEN" card on top of the box. This prevents against the worst possible contaminent... my wife. I've told her there are oyster mushies in the box and she believes it. Next week I'll pick my fruits, then head to the supermarket, buy some oysters and she'll be none the wiser.

Corrolation is not causation. You got trich because your spawn was either contamed or you improperly pasteurized temperature sensitive substrate materials like poo or straw. Opening the tub has nothing to do with it.
