Pasteurizing from previously contaminated jars?

Hey guys. Just put a really healthy monotub into fruiting mode a few minutes ago. It's mid-70s tonight, it's gonna rain and I wanted my tub to wake up to a nice sunrise with lots of humidity and fresh air..
I've re-used contaminated jars before with no problem. But I'm wondering, if I have a rye jar that's gone green, and I open the jars outside, empty out, then clean with soap and water can I use those jars to pasteurize bulk sub?
Since I'm not sterilizing the jars I feel a little unsafe about using them without PC. I've never had a contam after colonized jars so I know what I'm doing, but pasteurizing with non-sterilized jars seems reckless. I have a bunch of never-before-used jars anyway just in case but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask before bed.
EDIT: I know this has been asked before and I've abused the search engine but found a lot of contradictory and outdated answers. Mostly from people who aren't very clear on the differences between sterilizing and pasteurizing.
-------------------- I'm just here to learn.

Use lots and lots of water and a scrub pad with a little soap. Using chemical means of destroying spores (alcohol, bleach, soap) requires an exposure time to said chemical, which will vary per chemical used. At home we hardly give enough time to let them actually work.
You'll be wanting to focus on physically removing the spores and washing them down the drain versus destroying them with chemical means, although it helps to an extent so just put some soap on your scrub pad and go at it. Good luck
-------------------- The mushroom speaks: '"I am old, older than thought in your species, which is itself fifty times older than your history. Though I have been on earth for ages I am from the stars. My home is no one planet, for many worlds scattered through the shining disc of the galaxy have conditions which allow my spores an opportunity for life... How the hypercommunication mode operates is a secret which will not be lightly given to man. But the means should be obvious: it is the occurrence of psilocybin and psilocin in the biosynthetic pathways of my living body that opens for me and my symbiots the vision screens to many worlds"

You could boil or PC(after you emptied them) the jars for 10 minutes or so & that should take care of any worries.
